Keep moving if you are looking for friendliness or even a hint of customer service! Rather than feeling like a customer you are commanded when you can valet your own car - you will NOT get help and I almost felt bad that the gentleman at the front desk had to set down his phone and check us in.

Gorgeous views, accessible to the local activities and scene. I’d recommend eating outside of the hotel and certainly must get a room with a view!

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Austin from March 7–13 for a work conference, and it was a standout experience. This property pristine and is absolutely stunning and serves as a perfect home base in Austin.

The Highlights
The Room: Very comfortable and well-appointed. The modern climate control was easy to use (and actually effective), and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic—a small detail that makes a big difference.

The Food: I was blown away by the quality. Every meal, from the catered conference spreads to the on-site restaurants, was exceptional. If you visit, you must try the brisket torta—it was truly sublime.

The Staff: They were ever-present and consistently helpful. Every interaction started with a smile, and they were incredibly quick to assist with any request.

The Caveat
The only thing to watch out for is the Lobby Market. While they carry a very interesting selection of fare, the prices are high—think Manhattan or Switzerland levels of "crazy." It’s convenient, but definitely prepare for a bit of sticker shock.

Bottom Line
Despite the pricey snacks, this is a 10/10 stay. Whether you are here for work or play, the Hyatt Regency Austin delivers on every front. I would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel staff was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The view of the Austin skyline was spectacular and unexpected as we opened our curtains late at night. The room was very clean, quiet and large than expected. We are looking forward to going back to this beautiful hotel again.

Great hotel, staff, food and location. I truly enjoyed my stay. Friendly staff through out the entire hotel. My room had a great view of the river and I did the Bat Tour. My room was also clean and coffee station was well stocked. We had a conference meeting at this hotel and the staff was so helpful. The food was tasty and plentiful. They also have the perfect selfie mirror as you step out of the elevator to your room floor, big, round and clean.

Hyatt regency in downtown Austin is a fantastic place. Everything has been completely renovated and it’s gorgeous. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful of any hotel that I’ve ever experienced. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river and we also enjoyed some meals by the river at the hotel restaurant. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub but especially loved being able to walk right out of the hotel onto the river walk. The hotel is in easy walking distance to good restaurants and downtown.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency in Austin. The entire place looked brand new with beautiful furnishings, a gorgeous open space, plenty of amenities, and literally the perfect location in downtown Austin. The people who work at the Hiatt were so kind and helpful and went above and beyond in every way. Thank you so much!

Great location ...easy to walk to various spots downtown and south congress.. would recommend... great pool and access to town lake

New look in lobby/bar and rooms at this recently remodeled and conveniently located hotel. Great place for a business meeting but also a wonderful patio area overlooking the river to meet friends.

I would like to start off by stating this is an excellent hotel. I travel for work and consistently log over 100 nights at a prior hotel brand before switching mid last year to Hyatt. I currently earned Globalist status at the end of last year in the World of Hyatt loyalty program. One big difference I observed immediately is how the treatment at most Hyatt hotels had a step improvement when I went from Explorist to Globalist. I never stayed at this property before but I can say the hotel staff did an exemplary job of rolling out the red carpet to enhance my stay as a Globalist member.

The Front Desk check-in started the pampering with welcome champagne for my wife and I and the front desk remained responsive throughout the entire stay. We got an upgraded view room that provided a spectacular view of Lady Bird lake. We thoroughly explored and enjoyed all the hotel amenities. The breakfast buffet at Cypress Grove included tons of variety and the service was exceptional from all of the staff. The gym was also up to par so I could keep up my routine going without skipping a beat. The 2nd floor and gym also included a purified water system so I could refill as many times as needed and not worry about getting water bottles from the front desk or even market place.

The hotel is a bit smaller than the typical Hyatt Regency properties I have stayed at in the past, but the location and the staff makes it a gem. There was not a lot of food options on site for dinner. The Ripple & Roots restaurant was average at best, but at least convenient if one does not want to leave the property to explore the many options near by (front desk acknowledges this and provide a list of restaurants near by color coded by walking distance at check-in to be even more helpful!). Right outside the property in the back is Capital Cruises conveniently located that allow for many water activities.

Austin downtown has so much to do and Hyatt Regency Austin provides an excellent location to stay in and enjoy the property or venture out and paint the town red. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the staff for making our V-day weekend so special.

Incredible stay. Went for a work conference and the stay, food and staff were all exceptional! We checked in at the front with Leo and he was amazing help. Sold us on upgrading our room to the river front view and boy am I glad we did. Overall 10/10 experience!

I came here for a work conference. I ordered the dual monitors from Out Post! This was the best decision ever! They were helpful on the setup! And it has made a tremendous difference! I wish this was available everywhere!

Great location, love the rooms, views, bed and pillows. customer service is good, but food is nothing to write home about.
