Terrible value-for-money option

Proximity to the UN

Cons:

Just over all bad “value for money” option. Too expensive for its mediocre standards.

Great Location
Pros:

I had an overall pleasant stay. The location is the hotel's biggest advantage—it is perfect if you are attending meetings at the United Nations Headquarters, as it is just a short walk away.

The room was comfortable, although it was a little dusty when I arrived. As someone with allergies, I mentioned this to the staff, and I really appreciated that the room was cleaned promptly after I raised the concern.

Breakfast was decent, but there was often some confusion about seating and assisting guests. There was one young gentleman who wrote down everyone's room number and was always friendly, welcoming, and organized. Unfortunately, some of the other staff members seemed a bit forgetful, which made the breakfast experience less smooth. I also think the breakfast selection could be more varied and of higher quality.

I would also like to recognize the hotel's management. When I experienced a small inconvenience during my stay, the manager, whose name I unfortunately don't remember, was very attentive, professional, and genuinely interested in resolving the issue. The concierge was also consistently kind, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made a positive difference throughout my stay.

A special thank you goes to Elizabeth at the UN Café. She was exceptionally kind, helpful, and always greeted guests with a warm smile. There was also another gentleman working with her who was equally pleasant and attentive, although I unfortunately don't remember his name.

Overall, I would stay here again because of the unbeatable location for anyone visiting the United Nations Headquarters. With some improvements to housekeeping and a more varied breakfast, the experience could be even better.

Slowest front desk I’ve ever experienced
Pros:

Pros: the room size was bigger than other NYC rooms (I had a deluxe King, high floor).

Cons: Everything else. For starters, my room was almost 80 degrees when I arrived. The panel was in loading mode, so I could not reset it or turn it off to turn it back on. I attempted to call the front desk, in each of the three times I heard somebody pick it up and slam the phone back down. I finally got through the housekeeping, which put a ticket in for an engineer to come take a look.
The panel was also covered in some weird gunk— I asked about it, but was just giving a shrug of the shoulders with no attempt to clean it. The tech did get the AC working, so that was a plus.
I don’t know that I’ve ever waited so long to speak to a hotel’s front desk before. 30-45 minutes at times with only a couple guests ahead of you. The tall, bald man is quite possibly the laziest and rudest person I’ve ever dealt with. He makes it clear he does not care, gets up and leaves mid conversation, and intentionally makes any process slower than it needs to be. If all the other things still went wrong, I would consider staying here again. But based on the check in/out and front desk process, I will do everything I can to avoid this spot.
