I wouldn’t stay there again
Pros:

The area was nice around the marina and the hotel lobby was nice and modern

Cons:

Our room smelt so dusty and the mattress was horrible and dipped down. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything.

A great winter break
Pros:

Fabulous location, lovely staff. A really great base for San Diego and SoCal

Cons:

A small thing - the coffee machine was broken in the little cafe all week we were there. Starting the day with a proper coffee would have made it even better!

Family of 5 Stay in January
Pros:

I have a family of 5 and stayed in the marina front suites. I used points to stay and was happy with my choice. There was 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. There is a $50/ daily parking fee, and breakfast is not included. There is a small market that is on the property to get coffee in the morning. It was a nice place to take a walk in the mornings. Pool area was great. Much less busy mid-week. Waterslides ran noon-5pm daily. Pools were warm and clean. I felt it was a nice location to stay at and most of the major sights were less than a 30min.

Clean, quiet & relaxing
Pros:

Clean rooms and grounds. Exceptional customer service from the moment we arrived until departure. 3 heated pools with slides and a hot tub - kids really enjoyed that. Front desk left a postcard with smores kit in our room which was a really nice touch. Recommend utilizing valet service- only $5 more than self parking per day. Balcony overlooking the pool & bay offered an amazing view. Conveniently located near the airport and downtown restaurants and attractions.

I’d stay here again! Hyatt Regency Mission Bay
Pros:

We would stay here again and recommend to family and friends! Check in was very easy & fast. Everyone was so nice. We appreciated the texting service system. We needed the sofa bed pulled out a d made, they came right up and took care of it. We needed spoons and a few other things and each time, someone came right up. We had a corner marina view which had beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The pool area was plush, clean and fun with water slides. It was too cold for us in February but tons of kids were having a great time. The resort also felt safe. I walked the promenade (room key required to scan back into gate) at marina and it was serene and so pretty. Our beds & pillows were comfy and room was clean (no smells), balcony was an added bonus. We only got a quick take out breakfast from
red marlin one morning and it was good quality. I’m glad we stayed here!

Book IT!!! Don't hesitate on this stay!
Pros:

Outstanding customer service, beautiful property, room and views. Convenient location to everything. The staff was amazing I can't say enough about how great my stay was I will defintely be back.

The hotel is located directly on the Marina. While the amenities and facilities are average, the location is excellent and the staff is very friendly, I was expecting more attention to the details and the rooms forniture are quite vintage I would say some refurbishment would be advisable.

Incredible Stay -Rooms with a Great View!
Pros:

Our experience at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay truly exceeded every expectation from start to finish. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and perfectly located, but what truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible staff.

Kelli, Caroline, (both front office/desk) and Zahra (F&B Director) went above and beyond to ensure everything was seamless and welcoming. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed—they genuinely made us feel valued and cared for throughout our stay. Every interaction felt thoughtful and personal, which elevated the entire experience.

From service to atmosphere, everything was executed at the highest level. We left feeling impressed, relaxed, and already looking forward to our next visit. Huge thanks to the entire team, and especially to Kelli, Caroline, and Zahra, for making our stay so memorable. Highly recommend!

A Lovely Stay in Mission Bay
Pros:

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina in a marina suite with a view of the marina. It was a business trip for my husband, but a pleasure trip for me. We had a lovely stay. The location was tranquil. The atmosphere was calm. The suite was lovely. The hotel and grounds were clean and well maintained. The amenities were great. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I felt the value for the money was acceptable for a resort of this level.

Pros:

The staff were excellent overall, with the restaurant managers truly making a difference. Davood was consistently friendly, professional, and welcoming, always creating a positive atmosphere and ensuring guests felt comfortable. That said, Sarah was absolutely outstanding. Every interaction I had with her was exceptional—she was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond at every opportunity. Her level of care, professionalism, and genuine kindness set her apart and made each visit especially memorable

Great Resort Hotel

No water rescue!
Pros:

We live nearby and we lost water to our home. Even with a holiday weekend they were able to accommodate us the same evening, provide a WOH upgrade, and late check out. A stressful day ended with a hot shower and great nights sleep.

The one bedroom suites are really big!
