What a wonderful stay. We spent our last night of a 4 night trip to San Diego for spring break at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay. I had sent a note that it was our daughter's birthday celebration and we were so grateful for the treats the staff provided for her and the gorgeous hotel room. We had a balcony that overlooked the marina and the kids thought it was the coolest to see the seals and birds from our seats. The pool is amazing - the zero entry was really helpful. And the pool / bar area was great for families.
Overpriced, limited food options, needs a good remodel. I guess if you are going to SeaWorld you expect to be overcharged. Parking for my stay $60 a day.
Already told you.
Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina is one of those places where you can show up and immediately feel like you’re on vacation.
The location alone is a win — right on the water with marina views in every direction. It has that laid-back coastal vibe but still feels like a full resort experience, not just a standard hotel.
The pool setup is what really separates this place. Multiple pools, heated water, hot tubs, and the waterslides make it one of the most fun resort environments in San Diego. You can easily spend the entire day out there and not get bored.
The overall property is well maintained, clean, and spread out enough where you don’t feel packed in. There’s always something to do — whether it’s relaxing by the water, walking along the bay, or just enjoying the atmosphere.
Rooms are comfortable and set up exactly how you want for a stay like this — clean, functional, and many with great views of the bay or ocean.
Staff was friendly and handled everything smoothly. No issues, no stress — just a solid, well-run experience.
Bottom line: if you’re looking for a resort in San Diego where you can actually enjoy the property and not feel stuck in a basic hotel, this is a strong choice. It delivers on the experience.
10/10 — would definitely come back.
👍
The room was not good
Beware! The rooms are old smelly and moldy needs major updating! Also they leave your room doors wide open for anyone off the street to enter with your belongings!!! Worst hotels stay ever!!!
Great views. Helpful kind staff.
Clean and friendly
Nothing
Love the view of the ocean
Took me an hour just to retrieve two jackets left in the room after checkout
The experience at the Hyatt Regency far exceeded my expectations. Everything, from the check-in process, parking, the comfort of the room, the food, and the attentiveness of the staff made for an amazing stay and overall conference experience. I enjoyed my stay so much that I intend to return for a leisure trip, non-work related.
Very pleasant, and clean experience, we were in a suite. Very spacious, clear view to the marina. We also enjoyed the Sunset cruise.
The area was nice around the marina and the hotel lobby was nice and modern
Our room smelt so dusty and the mattress was horrible and dipped down. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything.
We wanted to take our 7-year-old Granddaughter for a short overnight stay as she really enjoys the water slides that are available. To say she enjoys them would be an understatement. We also love that the pools are heated to a very comfortable temperature.
We also would like to recognize Mr. Joe Forbes, Director of Operations, for his amazing hospitality and wonderful in room surprises. The smores kit he sent my granddaughter was also a highlight.
The rooms offer a breathtaking view of Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The amazing staff were also things we really enjoyed! Highly recommend to anyone considering a great beachside resort for families visiting San Diego.
