Made a complete screw up with our room assignment - then peppered us with emails, texts and voicemails. Deactivated our key cards and then had a security guard stand and watch over me while I packed up my stuff in order to move to another room. 100% because of their error and not a single apology.

We had a city view room and it was a great view. The room and the condition of everything was perfectly fine.
We’ve stayed here a number of times and appreciate the consistency.
Overall, good experience due to the convenient location, having a spacious room, and a great view. However, the rooms could use some updating and a few technical improvements given the price I paid for it. I would also like to see them improve the hotel restaurant/bar, which they haven't done since the last few times I've stayed here, and I believe that would really help the establishment as a whole. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Ultimately, I would return, but they're are flaws that should be addressed moving forward.
Hotel location is okay, rooms are spacious, aircon works. The staff working the breakfast buffet are exceptional. The staff on the front desk (when you get to it) are also lovely.
However the hotel needs more front desk staff, there is almost always a queue to check in. It’s also supposed to be 4 stars but:
-There is no room service at all. If you want food you have to call down to the kitchen to order “grab and go” then come down and get it yourself, they won’t provide you a proper knife and fork for this just plastic (good luck with a steak). Half the time when you call down to the kitchen there is no pick up so your left having to get door dash or uber eats - not great. This ends up being really inconvenient and more expensive. When the lack of response from the kitchen was flagged to the manager he clearly didn’t care, no apology and nothing done about it
-No bath robes in the rooms which I’d expect as a basic at this price point and premium

Great area and views (be sure to ask for rooms on the 30+ floor facing Alcatraz and the Wharf). We booked a 'city view' originally but the view was 'meh' so the bellman (Bill) asked the front desk to put us in a specific area of the hotel with the best views facing the Bay. We were so high up that it made it even more amazing! Service was very good and so was the breakfast but it was pretty pricey ($100 for 2 people with no alcohol!). Hotel was clean and high-end, beds were very comfortable. I'd recommend it highly.
