Despite the good location, I would not recommend this hotel

Very good hotel location, close to the pier.

Cons:

There were quite a few things I didn’t like, starting with the payment. When we booked the hotel through Booking.com, we paid the full amount, and nowhere did it say that we would be charged an additional fee of almost $50 at check-in for some kind of San Francisco fee. I thought I had already paid 100% of the cost through Booking.com.

Then we had to find parking ourselves because the parking is not located on the hotel property. If you use valet parking, it costs an additional $99. It was also very inconvenient to carry all of our belongings from another building to the hotel.

And third, it has already been 24 hours, and I’ve been charged twice: once for the full amount I paid through Booking.com, and then the hotel charged me the same amount again. Right now, I have two charges for the hotel on my credit card. Since I also paid for two rooms for my friends, three rooms in total, I’m not very happy that this amount is currently showing up twice on my credit card. I hope I’ll be able to get this sorted out later.

A fantastic experience overall! Perfectly located for exploring San Francisco on foot, with restaurants, attractions, and great walks nearby. The room was in perfect condition and spotlessly clean, with a lovely balcony and beautiful views. Waking up to the bay in the morning was such a treat! Lots of energy and activity. We absolutely loved it. A 10/10!

Cons:

The only minor inconvenience is that, since it’s a large atrium-style hotel, you need to use several elevators and walk quite a bit to get to your room, but that’s pretty normal for a hotel of this size.
