Very convenient to the train
Pros:

The front desk had only one person to receive guests at 4pm. She was polite but overwhelmed.
The room was large but the bathroom was tiny. My wife and I are not big people but no way we could both be in the bathroom at the same time. I would also have expected a walk in shower.
The room was clean and bedding comfortable, but I would have expected a coffee maker and an ice bucket.
The bag check guy and the security guard were both very helpful and polite.
The best part of staying here is the location, attached to Grand Central. You can’t beat getting off the train in the morning, leaving your bags, then returning later to check in. Same deal when leaving. Check out, leave bags, then return later to pick up the bags and jump on the train.

1.Incompetence.of staff 2. Dirty bathroom. 3. Only place to have breakfast was at the buffet but we didn't want a lot for breakfast 4. My husband has limited mobility and everything was so difficult to get to in the hotel

Opportunities to excell
Pros:

If you valet, plan accordingly 30-60 minute wait, even if you call ahead. They will not pre-schedule. So if you have an early flight, wake up an hour earlier then you need to, ugh. Don't trust the phone call to schedule, the info will not make it to the Valet manager. This made getting to the airport that much more exciting.

Pros:

The hotel was nice, the food was good, but expensive. I was not expecting the additional fees associated with my stay. I would have liked another mirror in the room besides the one in the bathroom. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Hyatt Grand central The place to be in NYC
Pros:

The location of the hotel is excellent. The rooms are a decent size and most staff are friendly. The Market meets your daily needs for breakfast and the BAR at the lobby level is quite happening.

Bad experience as you check in
Pros:

It was good location but front desk staffs need more customer services training! Whilst checking in they were on their phone and when asked a question, they answered as if we were a bother to them. Honestly disappointing how the standards of their staffing are not at the same level as the hotel name itself.

Old, loud, busy, unbecoming of a Hyatt of this level
Pros:

This hotel is in high traffic area, Well very convenient to tourist destinations, I had to fight crowds to get any kind of food, The rooms are very dated And desperately need a remodel and upgrade, Bathrooms are very small.
