The location in Cincinnati and the set up of the bedroom.
The fridge did not work and the bathroom is very tight.
I was at the hotel for a conference--did not stay overnight. I thought the conference facilities were just okay. The location is great, but the hotel itself had some cleanliness/upkeep issues (dirty toilets, water-stained ceiling tiles) and a weird lack of seating in public areas (and insufficient seating in large meeting rooms, such that attendees were sitting on the floor in some cases).
Love the place
Expensive food
Always a great stay. Room is clean and Blbed is comfortable and has 2 regular size pillows (hard to find at hotels) which are so much easier on the neck. Staff is friendly and helpful. 24 hour store in the lobby is great for the forgotten item, a meal or bakery treat or beverage.
The location is super convenient to everything downtown. The valet is understaffed, so that’s why I gave four stars instead of five, other than that everything was perfect. The folks who work the valet weren’t unprofessional at all, just understaffed, so it took a while for things to get going a few times that we needed to get our car. Mahda (sp?), Christina, and all the front desk staff were sweethearts. The folks who work in the marketplace were super sweet to talk to every time we went by. The folks working at Red Roost were lovely, very fun to talk to as well. The food at Red Roost was seriously delicious, innovative, high quality, more than one would assume for a hotel restaurant.
It was a clean and comfortable room! Very cozy!
Didn't like front desk did not inform me about additional charges would be charged to my stay. Also could have used a microwave in the room.
Location to event
Room floors were not swept, no complimentary coffee, or breakfast, no microwave in room. Phone in room didn't work so inconvenient to call valet. Website say sky bridge to convention center there is none.
No room service, and getting coffee in the morning was a challenge. Thought I'd go to the second floor but they are not making the coffee right. It was like tea was not coffee. Had to go back to the 24/7 market for coffee. Breakfast was good. Just another line in the morning
Long-time Hyatt guest, first truly disappointing experience. AC wasn't working at check-in—room was 76 degrees. Called front desk at 1:10am, was told someone would come "right up." No one showed for 30 minutes. Called again, waited another 10. Fixed quickly once someone finally arrived, but I lost a full night's sleep and it derailed my next day of travel. This should have been caught before the room was ever assigned.
Valet was also slow—25 minutes to retrieve my car on a quiet day.
Location is fine, but service and maintenance fell well short of Hyatt standards.
Hotel Stay was great! On Sunday, 3/1 I had had a late breakfast (11:15am). The waitresses were not very attentive, and I basically had to order, request items myself.
It seemed they were more focused on closing and ending breakfast instead of ensuring that I received what I needed. I felt rush and it was not a very relaxed time.
Clean and updated hotel. Loved the restaurant and staff were awesome. Valet parking was very quick too. Also love that they have a 24-hour coffee/snack market. I stayed at a hotel across the street the night before and hated it. I was in town for business and felt right at home at the Hyatt Regency. Would definitely go back again.
The restaurant staff need to be more knowledgeable and respectful.
Unfortunately, the experience with the restaurant staff and manager was very disappointing and raised serious concerns about transparency and ethics.
On Saturday, I ordered a breakfast to-go for my child. The menu price was $18, but I was charged approximately $24. Because I was in a hurry at the time, I did not question the charge immediately. Later that morning, I spoke with the manager regarding the additional ~$6 charge. I was told it was due to “tax” and a “service fee.”
I explained that, under Ohio state law, to-go food orders are not subject to sales tax. In addition, I was never informed—verbally or in writing—of any service fee. There was no mention of such a fee on the menu, no disclosure by the staff who took my order, and no opportunity provided to review or select a service fee percentage.
Furthermore, after signing the credit card receipt, I was not provided with a copy. I only received a receipt after specifically requesting one upon noticing the discrepancy.
The manager stated that she would follow up with the evening manager, remove the extra charge, and contact me by phone or text. I provided my phone number, but I never received a call or text, and no adjustment was made to the charge.
This experience raises concerns about billing practices and transparency, especially for guests who may be in a hurry and unable to review charges closely. I hope management will review this matter seriously and ensure proper training, clear disclosure of fees, and ethical practices going forward.
The stay overall went well. The room was ready and kept clean daily. The atmosphere was neat and clean and inviting. There were no noise level concerns at all. Did not have time for the amenities but the gym on site is a plus. Staff service was impeccable. Great attitude and helpful with any questions that I asked, Housekeeping and meal servers were outstanding. Breakfast was great. Lunch needs some work. Also, please supply beverages that include water, coffee, tea and pop.
Such an amazing Valentine’s stay at Hyatt Regency! Being Globalist really paid off — we were upgraded and surprised with cake, chocolate-covered strawberries, and champagne. The team made us feel so celebrated and special. This is why I stick with Hyatt. We’ll absolutely be back!
