Beautiful hotel ideally located near shops, restaurants, the port, and events in the public square. The service at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver is fantastic, and the rooms are gorgeous. We've stayed at this hotel a couple of times and it's been wonderful each time.
Staff was wonderful, friendly, and efficient. Will definitely start the next time we go to Vancouver. Restaurants were amazing too. I recommend the duck!
Booked this property and arrived to find the Egyptian national soccer team in residence and the lobby overrun with fans. What followed was the worst check-in experience I’ve had at a Hyatt.
Security flatly refused to let us reach the check-in counter, despite my telling them repeatedly that we were registered guests standing there with our luggage. A guard pushed us back into the crowd and my young daughter was nearly trampled. Getting to our room afterward was nearly impossible because the elevators were jammed with fans.
The next day the lounge attendant told me I could use the restroom, escorted me downstairs herself, and instructed security to let me back up. When I came out, security refused to let me return, ignoring her direct instructions. Twice in two days, security overrode the hotel’s own staff and treated paying guests like intruders.
Credit where it’s due: Aoi at the front desk and the lounge attendant were genuinely kind and helpful, and clearly tried their best. The failure here is the security operation and the property’s inability to host a large group without endangering and obstructing its other guests.
If there’s a major event during your dates, I’d look elsewhere, particularly if you’re traveling with children.
We stayed here for the World Cup game. The Egyptian team was also staying at t the hotel so it was very busy. Despite this, the staff did an amazing job making our experience great. The rooms are large, beautiful and comfortable. We had adjoining rooms which was wonderful for our family. Breakfast in the lounge was good and not crowded. The location of the hotel was perfect and we could walk everywhere very easily.

I honestly don’t know how this is rated as a 4-star hotel. The service was very poor, even for the most basic requests. Staff were slow to respond and overall the experience was disappointing. I would not recommend staying here, especially considering the price. It simply was not worth the money. There’s way better hotel in downtown Vancouver for half of the price.
It’s awesome
Breakfast OK nothing special location was alright.
Sausages were horrible and bacon was to crispy. Rolled oats were good.

Our family was vacationing in BC and we decided to stay at the Hyatt based on all the positive reviews. We stayed here for 6 nights and were on the 17th floor. The view from our room was awesome. I wish they had two queen beds as an option instead of two doubles, as we had our son with us. A rollaway cot is never an option for us; who wants to sleep on a cot when they are staying in a hotel?!! The beds were comfortable to me.
The hotel staff were all so welcoming, polite, and helpful. We loved that there was a Starbucks right in the lobby - so convenient!!! Hotel has multiple elevators, too, so there was never long waits to come and go. Parking access was easy in their underground garage. Two restaurants inside the hotel, as well. McDonald’s and Tim Horton’s right outside the hotel door, as well. Neighborhood has everything you could want/need! I would highly recommend this Hyatt for anyone visiting Vancouver.
Great stay with exceptional customer service. The location is amazing as it is in walking distance to many attractions. Staff was really great as well. Rooms were really clean and spacious. Balcony can be a bit more cleaner though. Overall great stay and great location
The bar and the 2nd floor restaurant were both great escapes from the crowds outside. Our room's balcony was delightful.
Given the World Cup effect, I was surprised there were so few staff on registration. Given the numbers involved, it was very slow. Another staff member or two on hand would have helped.
Location and stuff
Not good value for money
The lobby staff was very unfriendly. The room was not very clean. The bed made loud squeaking noises. However, the hotel is in an excellent location for exploring downtown Vancouver. The pool, hot tub, fitness center, and sauna were all well maintained and enjoyable.
