Great hotel with spacious rooms (suite). Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms too. Nice lobby and lobby bar- restaurant was excellent.
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and accommodating. Great food options and fun bar/restaurant experience. Lots of great space for sitting. Great huge TV in lobby for sports. Great access to the Convention center across the street and lots of great places to walk to. Super responsive when needed assist with room cooling and mini fridge.
Stayed here for a volleyball tournament in June and had an amazing stay. I want to first off mention Ellie and Brennah for their amazing customer service. They were so patient and commutative. I also tried out the texting option and Anthony was so quick to respond and informative. This alone gave me a 4 star experience! The other star is for the location and accommodations. My room was clean and spacious. The property could use some updating (pool, gym), but it’s still very lovely. The convention center is right across the street and there are many good restaurants to choose from. There is also a grocery market less than half a mile away. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting downtown Phoenix.
You need to know Hyatt regency likes to book rooms for kids event. Our last stay in April of last year they booked a cheerleading group so we had kids running through the halls and being noisy next door to us. We figured it was just a fluke so booked a room again this past weekend big surprise there is a volleyball group there. Upgraded our room to be away from other guests and again kids running up and down hallway screaming and yelling til after midnight. No adult supervision and no security. Pool is extremely small and has two umbrellas. Both visits we were unable to use the pool due to the number of kids in this tiny pool. There is no restaurant on site available for a sit down breakfast. They have a grab and go place. Staff was wonderful and room was nice but overall experience was not what we wanted. If you are coming to relax this is not your hotel.
we requested and received late checkout. thank you!
My room was incredible! We requested a crib, it was a full size crib for my little one which made our nights so much easier!
Just an ok hotel. In need of an update. Check in staff for World of Hyatt members too busy flirting with girls than wanting to check in customers waiting in line…..
Very clean, great location, rooms were awesome and clean. Personnel and customer service was wonderful and the dinner at The Compass restaurant is not only a must-do for the experience, the food was 5-Star. I would return in a minute for that alone.
Awesome staff were super helpful. Our reservation got messed up - we were booked at another Hyatt! But the folks at Regency were able to get us in on short notice during a convention weekend. Absolutely amazing. And they were super helpful and friendly too. Couldn't be happier.
The staff at this hotel makes the price worth it. The whole vibe was relaxation. We booked the signature stay which started with a free drink from the bar, a bottle of champagne, free parking, breakfast and late check out. Overall it was a great deal. You could tell the room was a bit older but it had been renovated. The decor was nice and the room was clean. The hotel was quiet but my be louder if a conference was there. The pool is not very deep but still relaxing. The Brush and Barrel restaurant was delicious. The market had a nice breakfast selection and a very friendly staff. I felt welcome and relaxed the whole stay.
The folks here are professional and kind. I travel 75% of the time for work and this is one of the locations I enjoy. They care about your stay. The restaurant is decent. And the bartenders are amazing. Don't feel like you're dining alone.
The front desk staff was very nice and courteous. As well as Corey who is one of the bartenders.
So Saturday night me and some friends at the hotel restaurant downstairs and the server was rude to us right away. Snapped at us and told us the kitchen was closing so that we needed to order fast. Which we did we know what we wanted. Then our food was cold and stale. Then it was about 15-20mins before our server came back to check on us and my friend ordered mozzarella sticks and they were never brought to us. When the server came over we asked about it and his response was " well too late the kitchen is closed". Then when my friend was explaining to him that the food was cold he walked away when my friend was still talking to him. I Then went to the bartender on duty and asked for a manager. It took her 15mins to come over to us but at least she was polite. The server tried to have our food remade and at that point it was too little too late. She did take care of our bill but it was just so rude that we just got done working our shift at Fan Fusion and we were just starving and then to deal with that kind of rudeness was not called for. He choice to be in the service industry if he doesnt like it then quit. No reason to be a miserable person to others. I work in customer service and even if im having a bad day I dont take it out on them because its not their fault. I'm sorry he had a bad night but again not my fault and not my problem.
The hotel was grossly understaffed. Our car was vandalized while in Hyatt valets care. According to their staff no one else had access to our car. They tore an anti racism bumper sticker off of our car and chose to shrug it off when we complained. So obviously they have racist employees that are allowed to act freely and are protected by Hyatt. I will never ever stay here again. So disappointed, but there are many other hotels in the Downtown Phoenix area that offer a better experience. Renaissance, Kimpton, Hilton, etc… Stay anywhere but here.
When we arrived we saw corners of carpet were pulled up from floor and
were tripping hazards. Repairs took over an hour and ran after 9 pm. The room had a day bed (they called it a bunk bed)instead of sofa sleeper, and that was small for the adult sleeping in it. The shower had a step into it and nothing to hold on to. The storage was limited. The room and hallways were very quiet/. Elevator ran efficiently, Curiously the housekeeping made up one bed or the other but not both in the same day. A plugged toilet was quickly repaired.
The staff were exceptional especially the bar staff. food was over priced and sub standard. Breakfast wasnt really known about.
The rooms were very outdated and in need of serious updating. Paying the additional price for a terrace was a big mistake as it looked onto the roof of a building across the road.
Quiet, clean, large room with very comfortable bed.
Shower tub faucet dripped and towels were threadbare.
