When we arrived we saw corners of carpet were pulled up from floor and
were tripping hazards. Repairs took over an hour and ran after 9 pm. The room had a day bed (they called it a bunk bed)instead of sofa sleeper, and that was small for the adult sleeping in it. The shower had a step into it and nothing to hold on to. The storage was limited. The room and hallways were very quiet/. Elevator ran efficiently, Curiously the housekeeping made up one bed or the other but not both in the same day. A plugged toilet was quickly repaired.
The staff were exceptional especially the bar staff. food was over priced and sub standard. Breakfast wasnt really known about.
The rooms were very outdated and in need of serious updating. Paying the additional price for a terrace was a big mistake as it looked onto the roof of a building across the road.
Quiet, clean, large room with very comfortable bed.
Shower tub faucet dripped and towels were threadbare.
Walking distance to Chase Field.
Rooms are thinned walls. Could hear conversations from room next door.
Location is wonderful if you're attending a conference at the convention center. Staff is delightful and very helpful. Room feels tired. Hotel didn't quite live up to what I expect from a Hyatt Regency based on previous experiences.
We loved the location because we were attending a conference right across the street at the convention center.
The beds were ridiculously high! We could have used a step stool to get into bed. As it was, we basically had to climb in and out and that was annoying. Especially annoying in the night when you had to use the restroom. And we were not the shortest people at this conference. Not sure if all the rooms have this issue. Also, there was not a single safety bar in the bathtub. Seems very irresponsible. Also, ergonomically speaking, the toilet paper was way behind the toilet and hard to reach. Great room for tall, young people! Not for short senior citizens!

Outdated rooms with clogged sink and bathtub. Broken elevators resulting in us needing to go up the service elevator. Do not recommend for the price.
The hotel was clean and nice. The layout made some rooms feel far from the elevator. Note the pool is small and only receives direct sun light from about 11:15 to 3:15. The pool furniture is metal and you will burn yourself if your not careful.
I ATE AT THE BUFFET , ITS BEEN A couple of times now. Christina is always alone and holds it down, that girl deserves a raise or even help she's a great employee to your team!
I was thoroughly satisfied.

The hotel features a great indoor/outdoor bar and restaurant on the first floor with very good, reasonably priced food. It’s also home to the revolving rooftop restaurant, Compass. While the views are beautiful, I found it to be overpriced and more about the atmosphere than the food itself.
Our room was beautiful, very clean, and had a wonderful view. I was especially impressed that housekeeping serviced our room daily without us even requesting it — a rare and exceptional touch these days, even as a Hyatt member.
One note for early risers and swimmers: the pool is very nice, but it’s in the shade until at least 12:30 PM (overshadowed by high rises). If you like morning sun or prefer to swim early in the day, you’ll likely be waiting until the afternoon for direct sunlight.
Overall, the service, cleanliness, and location were outstanding. I would absolutely stay here again — and that’s the best compliment I can give a hotel.
The hotel was quite beautiful, the people there was expectably kind. The room was always clean, I wish i had more time to explore more of the hotel.
I stayed here with students while attending the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF). They provided spacious rooms, friendly and attentive staff, and great food options in the hotel, which was right across the street from the Phoenix Convention Center. There were also good restaurants within walking distance and it's also very close to Chase Field where we had a event one night to that was easy to walk to.
I was very very disappointed with the hotel.
Limited on dining though they say 3 dining areas.
No real dining for breakfast. And no real dining at night except one called the Compass which has limited hours and a nasty complicated way to make a reservation.
As a guest I would expect one could just contact the front desk and simply make a reservation under one’s room.
