Minneapolis in February 2026
Pros:

At first I was nervous about what I would find in Minneapolis after all I had seen on the news. What a delight to find such a warm and inviting atmosphere at the Hyatt Regency where our conference was being held. The registration process was easy. My room was ready upon arrival. I was very pleased with the extra security precautions for the hotel. I felt very safe. We were treated well by everyone on the staff. There are lots of little hidden treasures in this hotel - the Prairie Restaurant has the best creamy and wild rice soup with a cheddar & herb biscuit! We were greeted multiple times by members of staff/management seeking to ensure that our dining experience was what we expected. The Market is stocked with most everything you might desire for drinks/snacks/meals without having to leave the hotel. Sampson is a rockstar employee and went out of his way to make customer service the best thing they offer. There is a little cafe in the hotel, Vitali's, that has the best lox & creme cheese crepe! I also enjoyed a nice tumeric chai latte and later a mocha latte. They provided excellent service! My only regret is that I didn't get to try more of the items on the menu. There is a wonderful cozy seating area in the lobby in front of a grand fireplace that provides a comfortable place to gather informally with friends.

Great Visit!
Pros:

Great location. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Beautiful hotel with great hospitality. The rooms were very comfortable and the city view was worth the extra charge. Try the cheese curds with hot honey at the hotel restaurant.

Very nice hotel centrally located in downtown near the convention center.
Pros:

This hotel was very clean and nice. A big benefit is that it is centrally located downtown and connected to the convention center by skyways or skywalks. The weather was single digit outside, but there was not need to get cold by using the skyways to get to and from the convention center. Very convenient.

Great stay at the Hyatt Regency
Pros:

The staff is amazing!!! They really make this place great. Everyone was professional and friendly. The food in the restaurant is great; we had no problems eating there instead of going out in the cold. Clean, comfortable rooms.

Don’t enter a room at 8am uninvited!
Pros:

A housekeeper entered my room at 8am on a day I want even checking out. I was still asleep in bad when they entered my room. It was very startling to wake up to a male housekeeper in my room. It was not appreciated.

Further more someone pulled the fire alarm on a feels like -40 degree day and my child was in the pool. We had to walk down 6 flights of stairs (2 sets/flight) near the outside walls in just swimsuits/towels. A very cold experience. I am mainly upset about the unwanted housekeeping at 8am when I was dead asleep and NOT checking out that day!

Exceptional place to stay!
Pros:

Absolutely loved my stay at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the high-end atmosphere—the lobby is modern and elegant, with a welcoming vibe that sets the tone for the whole experience.

The staff was truly exceptional—professional, attentive, and always ready with a smile or helpful suggestion. It made me feel like a valued guest every step of the way.

My room was spotless and impeccably clean, which instantly put me at ease. The bed was incredibly comfortable—plush, cozy, and perfect after a long day. And the bathroom? Absolutely amazing. Spacious, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed, with a fantastic shower that felt spa-like.

If you’re looking for a polished, relaxing, and upscale place to stay in Minneapolis, this hotel absolutely delivers. I wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Cons:

No vending machines.

I cannot believe what this place charges per night for how dirty and outdated the rooms are.i would never stay here agai
Pros:

They have a Starbucks on site.

Cons:

The rooms were dirty. Dust everywhere. Holes in the wall. Bathroom had hairs all over it and had to call for a cleaning. There’s mold and mildew in the bathroom. Air/heating system does not change the temp of the room for many hours if at all. The towels were thin and rough. Many of the plug ins did not work. The couch is awful and very old. The floors hadn’t been vacuumed well. The bedding felt like plastic sheets. The pillows are awful! No microwave in the rooms. Extremely odd and creepy picture for decor. My ice bucket even had hair in it. Asked for maid service daily and they only dropped off towels and took the garbage out and didn’t do anything else.

Pros:

Great location downtown, very clean on the inside!

Cons:

The parking garage is insanely far from the guest room elevators, and for the price you think there would be a microwave.
