Excellent solitude stay and
Pros:

I loved the gym the most! This was one of the best hotel gyms because the equipment was very clean, modern, and there were plenty of cardio treadmills and ellipticals, dumbbells, weight machines, and the pool was connected to it. When on the treadmill, there is a great view of the Savannah River.
I also was the "guest of the day" and enjoyed buffet breakfast every day which was a pleasant unexpected surprise at the expense of the hotel.

Last but not least, I would like to recognize some key players in the restaurant: Cook-Michael; Host-Viola; Servers-Desiree and Tricia. They were so nice and friendly as well as professional. Please give them a well deserved bonus because they rock!

Cons:

The parking was the worst because the hotel only offered valet parking at $50 per night. But they gave me an option to park across the street at the Whitaker Parking Garage. I think this type of property can do much better.

Awful. It needs a new manager and new staff.
Pros:

Location

Cons:

The service has deteriorated since we were last there. Half the staff were sullen and truculent. The signage is terrible to non existent making it difficult to find your way about. Machines have replaced some people but it’s very difficult to use them. An assumption is that everyone knows how to operate them when no one does - each one is like some kind of IQ test. Room service is non existent. We ordered two sandwiches and two soups. It was delivered in a paper bag. Each corn silk container held less than 6 ounces and each one cost $14.00. That’s right. $28.00 for maybe ten ounces of soup. With a small bottle of ice tea, a $13+ delivery charge, the total was $97 dollars. The whole scheme appeared to be designed to rip you off. A self help dispensary on the main floor charged $15 for a small container of ice cream and $4.75 for a small bottle of Coke. No one could figure out how to use the check out machine. It was not disclosed that there was a separate fee for parking, which was an actions $50 per night in Savannah

Bad experience
Pros:

The Staff (Receptionist) was very good.

Cons:

The valet parking was very expensive. $65 per night is ridiculous and when time to checkout, it took 30 minutes to get my truck to the front of the hotel.
The 4th floor hallway smelled like marijuana.

Overall, our stay was pleasant.
Pros:

The location was wonderful.

Cons:

We booked and paid for a River view room. However, upon arrival we were told they didn’t have any more River view rooms, so we got bumped to a cheaper, city view room.
