We did pay to upgrade to have a view of the Inner Harbor which was great! I appreciated the offer from the front desk.
I purchased the breakfast through booking.com but was charged extra for breakfast. I would not have paid the $40 for breakfast if I knew I would have to pay additional for breakfast at that meal. I would have sourced another option for more affordable breakfast in the area.
Amazing stay. Close to amenities and great food. Rooms were clean and staff were attentive. The staff were top notch and always willing to help.
For the staff: 100/10!!
The outdated truck stop toilet in the room was not at all expected.
The faucet in the tub looked like an out of place plumbing pipe.
The bathroom was clean though.
The water pressure in the shower was weak. I've gotten better water pressure from a garden hose.
The fan in the bathroom did not work.
There was a pair of socks left by the previous people.
There were no coffee cups/mugs in the room.
The TV faced the bed and not the comfy seating area. Strange.
The overpriced breakfast at $30 per person was shocking.
We were told the bar was closed even though bartenders were actively making drinks.
The building was dingy on the outside and windows were filthy. Not at all like the photos depicted on the website.
The view of Camden Yards was nice.
The hotel was quiet and we enjoyed that.
Every staff member we came into contact with, whether speaking in person or just passing by always greeted us with a smile.
For the price I paid I was not impressed with anything
It’s not that I didn’t like anything about the property I was just upset about the amount of money I spent to stay there and it wasn’t worth it
Loved my stay, clean, comfortable, and the staff made everything easy. I will definitely come back.
I enjoyed my stay, but I really didn’t like the glass elevator because I am afraid of heights.
Met expectations
Because I booked here, the hotel kept charging me full day rate to upgrade internet. I had to call to get charges removed.
Location very nice looking hotel
Heat did not work properly had to get a plug in heater and bathroom knob broken
I liked everything about it. It was clean, staff was helpful and friendly. It was close to everything I wanted to do so I basically walked to my destinations.
I actually didn’t have any complaints.
The hotel is extremely outdated with a lot of wear and tear which is very evident throughout the room from broken blinds, torn curtains, stained furniture, leaking faucets, etc. I booked this hotel to be close to the convention center, which meant that I was very disappointed to find out that the elevated pedestrian bridge connecting the hotel to the convention center is closed. By the looks of it, I assume it's closed because it's so incredibly dilapidated and likely unsafe. That meant having to walk there on the street level, which really isn't a big deal, just an inconvenience having to wait for traffic to clear and given it was raining.
A much bigger inconvenience was that the air conditioning in my room was broken. The front desk sent up engineering quickly after I called around 4:30 pm, they said they fixed it and set it to 66 degrees before they left. I left shortly after they finished their work to go to meetings and when I returned a few hours later, it was still 75 and humid in the room despite being set at 66 while I was away. I called the front desk to request a new room since it was now 8pm and they said the hotel is oversold and after placing me on on hold for 5 minutes, she offered to bring me a fan. I said that's unacceptable and she rudely snapped at me that that's all she could offer and she will send engineering up again. When they arrived with a fan, I was not pleased. Yep, they couldn't fix the AC and this time, blamed it on a building-wide issue, something about system back ups. But it looked like this unit is specific to this room. Also, I thought it was odd to see a space heater in the closet when I first arrived, but now I suspect the entire heating/cooling system in this room is broken and the front desk knows it. Isn't using a space heater in a high rise hotel a fire hazard?
My reservation was for two nights but after a very uncomfortable, sleepless night in a hot and humid hotel room, I decided to check out early. When I did, the front desk person was polite and gracious and said that they wouldn't charge me for the second night despite my early departure. She saw that there was a note about a problem with the AC in the room but it showed that engineering was sent up only once at 8 pm. I mention that because it seemed odd to me that there was no record of engineering being in my hotel room twice. I asked about a refund for the first night and she said the manager "was currently in a meeting" but that he would call me that day. It's now been over 2 days and not surprisingly, I have not heard from anyone. They didn't even waive my parking fee. The customer service was seriously lacking.
From talking with other conference attendees, it seems the hotels around the convention center are all in need of major renovations. However, there is a fully protected bridge connecting the Hilton to the center, so if you're looking for an easy way to walk to and from meetings, that's a better bet than the Hyatt Regency.
My stay was very nice. The room and bathroom were a little dated, but very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accomodating.
The location is very good, right at the Convention Center and close to the Inner Harbor with its museums and the aquarium. The room was well appointed and clean, although the total lack of drawers in the night stand and the desk was infuriating. The noise level in my room overlooking the harbor was low.
The lack of in-house restaurants was disappointing, and the in-house "market" was greatly lacking in choices.
Also, don't expect the front desk to pay attention to requests for wakeup calls. They promise and promptly forget.
This hotel is not prepared for conference attendees. The dining room is too small and understaffed, the breakfast buffet is grossly overpriced (the food was pretty bad, too), and the grab-and-go foods are unappetizing. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, but the bathroom could use an upgrade.
Poor overall experience. Restauant only offered very expensive buffet rather than a la carte (35.00 a person, flat fee). Not open for lunch. The "Market" ran out of sandwiches and salads for lunch by 11 AM. The restuarant / bar closed very early and this is listed as a conference/ convention hotel where people like to gather later than 9:45 PM.
Nice location and view.
Restaurant/bar hours.
