We liked the walkability to the venue but the neighborhood was not inviting at all.
Pros:

The ability to walk to the venue we were attending.

Cons:

This hotel is in a very depressed area of Charleston, WV. The staff was friendly and doing their best. The facility seemed "worn out". We actually went to the Embassy Suites up the street for drinks and people watching.

Good stay, convenient location
Pros:

Location is great, restaurant is good and open till 10pm. Room is comfortable and has everything we needed.

Cons:

Parking in a tall truck was a bit tricky, but doable.

Always a good choice for me.
Pros:

I felt bad for the guy at the front desk. His computer wouldn't work. He was polite and very professional dispute the problems.

Adequate Hotel; Responsive Staff
Pros:

We stayed at the Marriott Town Center for an extended weekend birthday celebration. The hotel is clean and bright. Our interactions with staff were few since all our needs were already met upon arrival. Extra towels were promptly delivered upon request. The NBA finals were being played, and the TV in our room could not pick it up! We called the front desk and Joe, the repairman, promptly appeared to make an assessment. The tv needed to be replaced and to our dismay, it would take about an hour. Apologetically, he promised to work as quickly as he could, but I feared the game would be over by the time he finished. To his credit, with a pleasant and humble attitude he completed the replacement just as the 3rd quarter was starting. Thank you, Joe, #1 repairman.

Pros:

The staff was friendly and helpful.

Cons:

As a kid we stayed here on special occasions and it was fancy, clean and just a wonderful stay every time. This stay many years later was a let down in that it was run down, worn out from the floor to the elevators. Very disappointing.

Pros:

Was only there one night so I didn’t get to use all of the provided ammenities. Liked the location as it was within walking distance to local bars and restaurants.

Cons:

Security in parking garage area. There were no cameras providing security for the vehicles.
