The beds were pretty comfy and the receptionist upon arrival was kind and accommodating.
The hotel is close to the Nassau aquatic center - but not convenient in other ways - I will explain -
There was NO PARKING!!!
I have a swimmer and had to go back and forth at least 4 times in a day - no parking at all
I have no idea where or what I was supposed to do and where did everyone park who stayed there???
When I inquired about the parking bc I "made my own space," I was told "we were allowed to park at NASSAU COLISEUM and walk over!" What?????
And I had to go back and forth for the competition like I said!!! It didn't matter what time of day - there was NO PARKING!!!!!!
The first day - I thought there was no hot water - I inquired if it was a problem in the building ??
Found out I had to run the water for 20 minutes in order to get hot water
Sink - cold water bc I couldn't run it 20 minutes to wash my hands
Th first day was the coldest shower I ever took!!!
Looks like they are updating the place but not everything has been updated as of yet.
I needed a late check out - first told they couldn't do it bc they needed the room
But then I was able to FOR A STEEP PRICE.
I needed the time bc of the swim competition.
Was not happy to pay - especially after not being happy to stay there.
It is only 5 minutes away - but so inconvenient with the parking and worrying etc, I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!!!
Location.
Staff was rude, there was a huge dance event woth children running amok with zero control by staff. It was completely unhinged, loud, and intolerable.
Room was comfortable and they accommodated my daughter and I with 2 double beds that we requested prior to our stay.
The price was exorbitant. Over $400 for a one night stay. Please help reduce the prices especially during a dance competition for family and participants.
Bed was wonderful! Best night sleep!
Breakfast had plentiful choices to choose from. Very fresh and delicious!
All staff were very helpful, from Miles at the front desk to the dinning room staff.
Shower could use an update.
Close to Hofstra and the room was clean
Did not clean our room until we asked on the second night.
If you are stuck in 1995, then this place is for you. No room service. No evening restaurants. You are in the middle of a parking lot for the relatively defunct Nassau Coliseum, one would think the staff would go out of their way to be customer service oriented. Not happening here! Like many others, I feel Marriott is going so downhill. Recently, only Edition, Ritz Carlton and St. Regis are the only properties you can count on, otherwise call it Days Inn or Motel 7.
terrible service. Concierge is not friendly. whole hotel is really hot. I supposed business center is a closet with a computer. and the guy at the bar in the restroom is a dick.
Stay your groups away from this hotel is the worst place to stay. Nyaila Elmore and Myself stayed in this hotel in room 144 this hotel has nothing working not only that their managers are completely useless and is unfortunately that this is the level of service that they are performing Adam Maikarfi is a menace to this place. This representative of this hotel told me to calm down that he was going to fix my hot water issue and never did also promised not to charged the full rate due to this situation . The aggressive behavior is not what I’m paying to receive. If you can stay somewhere else please do. I hope this hotel corrects this type of service because is completely unacceptable. At check out I glanced at him and told him that if my room rate was adjusted he took his word back and said he never promised that to me. I was completely shocked and embarrassed. This is unacceptable. And this man shouldn’t be in charge of anything especially a Marriott property. This will also be reported to corporate!
The lobby was nice. The bed was comfortable. Nice size room.
The tv never work due to maintenance issues. The front desk person in the morning when checking out could take some classes on be nicer to guest. A smile can go along way! .
The furniture in the room and hall ways, felt it had seen better days.
Clean and welcoming.
