Great stay, staff and location
Pros:

Pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Booked last minute through a third party so wasn’t expecting much and we were blown away by the room, the staff and the location (easy access to Seaport Village, Green Line to Petco Park, and ferry to Coronado). Special shoutout to the breakfast team the food was so good! Would definitely stay again.

Serious need for management change
Pros:

This property really represents the slowness and lack of care in a property, which is led by management. Trying to get a coffee and a bit of breakfast in the morning is like running a gauntlet all the time with the lady standing there and needing a pass needing a card we’ve been there for four days and we go through it all the time and when it comes to breakfast in the morning, the lineup begins very early so you’re lined up for a while because they wouldn’t open it until on the dot of the time opening meanwhile the food is out everybody’s standing they stand there looking at their watches until the 5:30 PM for evening or the 6:30 AM in the morning until a line completely forms and then then it’s a waste of time when I go down the street for a breakfast instead

Breakfast was very good with make your own omelette
Complimentary happy hour was good

At the the onsite restaurant. Food preparation time after ordering was slow
Parking was super busy at times and congested . However the valet folks were running to get the next car trying to cut down the wait time.

Good location, nice to have a suite
Pros:

We stayed at the Embassy Suites for five nights during our spring break vacation. Overall this was a good hotel option because of the location - it is very walkable to many attractions (USS Midway, Petco Park, Trolley, etc.), so we avoided the expense of renting a car and paying for parking. We rented a very conveniently-located Zipcar for the day when we ventured out further to the beach. The suites were clean and nicely sized, and we liked having a separately living room for after our kid went to bed. The bedrooms were a little tight with two queens (you couldn't really get out on both sides of each bed due to the windows and the walls being right up against them). There was another sink outside the main bathroom which was nice for getting ready, but the shower was a little challenging because the door did not slide open both ways so you had to stand in the shower to turn it on and the knobs were difficult to turn, the pressure was also not great. Both parents got wet while having to reach into the shower to turn it on for our kid, so that was annoying. The indoor pool was fine and the gym had a decent variety of equipment. It was extremely busy at the hotel between vacationers and conference attendees and the staff were working hard to keep towels in the pool stocked and get rooms cleaned. It seems like fewer hotels have breakfast included these days, so we appreciated the included buffet. The made-to-order breakfast was good and the chefs kept the line moving. The housemade salsas were great. There was a decent variety of options except in two areas: fruit and yogurt. Every day there was the same sad selection of melon and no other options, no bananas, no oranges. You kind of expect a little more in California. Also they only had sad Light and Fit yogurt. A little Greek yogurt or something would have been preferred. As some other reviewers have mentioned there are some staff that come up to you to pitch Hilton vacations. I have stayed at a lot of Hilton brand hotels from budget to luxury and this has never happened to me. It happened to me twice and my spouse twice. We started rushing through the lobby on our way out to avoid the pitch. It was a small and unnecessary annoyance. Overall this is a good hotel for a family vacation and wins for location and for having included breakfast.

Overall a nice staying, parking could be cheaper when staying in the hotel, but breakfast needs to change!
Pros:

Location is excellent, spacious room

Cons:

The way breakfast is handled is very obsolete and inappropriate in my opinion. Never had to have breakfast this way.

Nice stay
Pros:

Our room was a two room suite and it was nice to have the extra space. Generally clean public spaces and friendly staff. The breakfast was fabulous. The evening event was ok but a long line for the drinks so we didn’t have them most nights. The snack part was nice but nobody supervised it and the children just dig through the trays of food. Angie in the shop was helpful and ordered food for us from an affiliated restaurant. The hotel is situated well and it was super easy to walk to many of the attractions along the bay.

Good experience overall, but beds were awkward
Pros:

The bed was uncomfortable. The frame and mattress were two different sizes. The evening reception was great. There were several cocktails on offer in addition to beer and wine. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, but we were glad that we arrived at 7:30. By the time we left at a little after eight, the line was quite long on both mornings. The pool was small, but adequate for our children. We enjoyed our stay overall. It was very convenient to the train station and also close to the MIdway and Maritime museums.

Thank you for finding my jewelry!
Pros:

The hotel is wonderful, rooms are good size, and the location is the best for San Diego if you want to be close to Sea Port Village and harbor port. We enjoyed our stay. The view is beautiful. The service was excellent. Breakfast was tasty every morning. But most importantly, I forgot my jewelry in the safe when we checked out and thanks to the team my jewelry was found and returned to me. I specifically want to thank Marleen & Vanessa for helping me out. Marleen called me twice to notify when they found the jewelry and when they shipped it to me. I really appreciate your support and willingness to help your customers. You are the best! Thank you!

エクセレント
Pros:

Cons:

Pros:

Our family really enjoyed the New York West food place. Our food was great, the staff were great. In particular, our waitress Jenisha, was wonderful. She was very helpful with general area suggestions, service was great, and she was a joy to talk to.
