Overall the experience was ok. I was slightly disappointed that I didn’t experience the pool as the weather wasn’t in my favor. Additionally, I purchased an item while visiting and I used it once and when I went to use it again it was gone( note I didn’t have a roommate and the only person in my room was housekeeping. To the that end I discovered an old large bandage, tissue and plastic under the bed ( I didn’t use) the T. Wasn’t always working properly and I am still waiting for my fridge. 🤦🏾♀️ the staff was accommodating as a whole however the fact that an item was missing from my room and the room wasnt thoroughly cleaned makes me wonder if I should ever return.
Great stay and lovely hotel centrally located. Staff at every level was excellent! Will definitely stay here again.

What a lovely hotel. Located just off the trolley line which will take you to the French quarter and the garden area. Several restaurants around in the area and the hotel bar has great staff working for them
Personally as a woman o do t like the rain shower. But that is the only bad thing I have to say about the hotel
Beautiful hotel, comfortable and clean room. Great location and great food too!
comfortable bed great location
The room was very hot at night
The intercontinental NOLA was a great hotel. Clean, convenient location. Very helpful staff. I would highly recommend staying there. They would likely be my choice again if I was in New Orleans.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The location was good for sightseeing and the neighborhood seems safe.
Excellent hotel choice in the heart of New Orleans. Reasonable price for an impressive room. Large, quiet & comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Booked this hotel as it is the base used by American Cruise Lines and we had a cruise planned. Hotel is a little tired but nice enough. The staff were helpful and polite. On arrival a sum of $55 per night is held on your credit card for incidentals refunded in 5-7 working days. 8 working days later I am still waiting for them to release the hold. The room was comfortable enough, the bed was large and soft but the pillows consisted of chopped up bits of foam in a pillowcase. If you hate this as much as I do look in the chest of drawers in the room. There’s a smaller but much comfier pillow in there. The sink is outside the bathroom which I like but the sink is inset in a marble type top and fitted about 8” from the front of the surface. If you are 5ft4” like me you can’t actually reach the sink to clean your teeth or wash your face without one of those steps designed for a three year old. We had booked overnight stay with breakfast. Breakfast was very tasty. A buffet with fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals, toast, pastries, smoked salmon, bacon, scrambled eggs etc. also an egg station for omelettes and waffles. Very tasty indeed. The waiters/waitresses offer tea and coffee, orange juice and clear your plates as I expect them to to fulfill their job description, then they slap 20% tip on the standard buffet price for anyone who walks in for breakfast. Man I booked for bed and breakfast why am I giving you 20% for doing the job you are paid to do. Bloody daylight robbery! Be warned there are no umbrellas in the rooms and it sure can rain in New Orleans! Fortunately we had taken our own. The hotel is within walking distance of the French Quarter, Cafe Du Monde, street car stops etc so good location.
Atmosphere Restaurant Room all was amazing!
Great location, high floor rooms have good light. Still street noise at weekend and loud slamming doors in hallway.
We visited New Orleans this weekend to enjoy an event at the Lakefront. Choose this property mostly based on location and on recommendation from a friend. Indeed location was good for being downtown and near the French Quarters. Property was very nice. I like that they offered next door valet parking and chilled items in the fridge. What I did not like is that valet parking was backed up and not an easy process especially when time to depart the property. Took about an hour to get our vehicle which delayed our departure. Hopefully that process can be improved so not to make the guest anxious and irritated about opting for valet parking instead of a self-park elsewhere. Also, it would be really nice to offer refrigeration for the guest in their room for their own items like a drink or leftover meal. I have seen hotels/resorts where items were offered for purchase but not sensored to be charged if you even disturbed the item in any way. In addition to that, no warning about that unless you happened to read the top of the fridge. By then, you may have already moved a drink to put your own item in as there was no room in that fridge for the guest for their convenience. Maybe another guest use mini fridge could be added to rooms. Luckily, we were able to catch that but not until we moved something. I was required to talk with front desk twice concerning it because a charge did come through on my credit card during the stay. Charge was removed from bill without incident. I asked for a receipt to insure that. That may not have gone that smoothly if not known until days later due to finding charge on my credit card statement. I'm glad I get notifications about charges to my credit card. Another missing item that would have been nice was a microwave, but I know sometimes that could cause other issues with odors, cleanliness, or electrical mishaps.
Great location, clean rooms, great service, and good on site dining.
We visited the New Orleans Intercontinental Hotel on May 13 - May 15, 2026 and had a delightful experience. One component that enhanced our experience was the interaction with your staff. Oswald and Ray were attentive, helpful and entertaining as we moved about the hotel and Alex at the front desk was charming. It is obvious the guest experience is important to hotel management. Additionally, the location, value and cleanliness were apparent. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.
The staff were amazing! Such a clean place. Easy check in and check out.
Shower broken, tv broken, staff did not answer phone
