Unprofessional staff for a good hotel

I stayed there for one night and wouldn't come back. staff not prepared to work in a hotel in my opinion, from check in to breakfast.
The room was nice and spacious, shower was also good.

Cons:

My experience at breakfast was extremely disappointing. Before heading to the airport, I went to the breakfast area since breakfast was included in my room rate. There was no one at the entrance to greet or check guests, so I simply walked in and started eating.

a few minutes later, a women approached me in a very rude manner and started yelling at me saying, "This is a private breakfast," "You have to pay, you have to sign." She didn't give me any opportunity to explain that breakfast was already included with my reservation. Instead, she asked me to follow her to sign a ticket before returning.

The way the situation was handled was incredibly embarrassing. Other guests were staring at me as if I had done something wrong, even though I was entitled to have breakfast. After that, I no longer felt comfortable staying, so I signed the paper and left.

To make things worse, I later discovered that I had been charged $35 for the breakfast that should have been included in my stay. I had to chase them to cancel the charge. The entire experience was unprofessional, disrespectful, and left a very negative impression.

It’s a nice stay with minor issues with the bathroom
Pros:

I loved the lobby and the restaurant Trenasse. The location was excellent for airport public transport, closeness to Bourbon but still in a nice quiet/safe area, and the pool was lovely/clean.

Cons:

The problem was the room. The shower floor looked like it was cheaply remodeled to move the drain and one of the faucets in the sinks was damaged.

My stay was relaxing.
Pros:

I'm a return customer because the balconies are very large, the location of the hotel is centralized to all of the attractions. Also, of all of the hotels that I've stayed in, this hotels is second to none.

Cons:

I pool's size and depth.

Friendly and fun staff!
Pros:

If this was based on the staff and food, I’d give them a five overall. Staff was wonderful, linens clean and modern. Minor complaints would be some mildew in the bathroom and gym was honestly a little grody. First time I’ve been at an intercontinental without a modernized gym and spa, so some areas to improve.

We really enjoyed our stay at the InterContinental. From check-in to check-out, the staff was friendly, professional, and eager to help. The valet service was especially outstanding—quick, efficient, and always courteous.

Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax after exploring the city. The bathroom could use some updating, as it felt a bit dated compared to the rest of the hotel.

We also noticed that the TV guide wasn’t accurate, and several channels were unavailable due to an overall issue with Dish Network. While it was a minor inconvenience, it didn’t take away from our overall experience.

Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives. The excellent service, clean accommodations, and spacious rooms made for a very enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the InterContinental to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel with outstanding staff.

Pros:

Went to celebrate my birthday on 7/24. Hotel was very nice, as well as room. The front desk clerks were extremely friendly during my check-in. Hotel was easily accessible to Canal street - 7 minute walk, if that. Restaurant in lobby. Also had restaurant for breakfast and coffee. Gym and Pool.
