When I arrived the checking was very slow as the room were not available. We had to wait like 45 mins. But when we checked in, we found out the room was small and smelly. We spoke to them and they upgraded us to a better and spacious room which made it worth it. It was a nice stay to be fair. Everything went well. It is in a nice area. The only small issue is that it is an old hotel. It’s 45 years old. Needs to be renovated.

Pros:

The IHG Hotel CANCELLED our reservations and we still don’t know why? We called Hotels.com and they confirmed our reservation with the Hotel IHG. We were given a room after going back & forth with the front desk. Since we had 2 bookings for the same week we did not understand.

NIGHTMARE! The Hotel CANCELLED our reservation!
Pros:

Our reservation was cancelled by the Hotel. We don’t know why & had to call Hotels.com late at night and the agent confirmed we had reservations. We were very upset and confused, since we had 2 separate bookings for the same week and one was cancelled. They blamed it on system glitch.
The rooms are dated and not renovated. Only the lobby area is very nice.
The Beach is not close to the hotel!

Pros:

Hotel lobby is lovely but the hotel room was dated and the bathroom in desperate need of refurbishment. Pool are was ok but water dispenser was out of order, sign said to get water from the bar but the water machine only gave warm water!

Hotel a little tired, a bit of 1990 vibe going in but other than that it was perfect, pools lively, food in restaurants great, the only restaurant we did not like was the Buffet, breakfast n just ok in comparison to other hotels in Abu Dhabi but not bad, def go b and b so you can sample the A la carte restaurants, Lebanese, Italian, Belgian were just great. We will def be back here

Pros:

It is a functioning hotel but requires an upgrade. Sound proofing in room not the best and also has the old damp smell. Lot of dining options and location is also fine.
