Travelodge by Wyndham Roanoke

It has roaches and other bugs when they switched me to another room he charged me more they switched me trying to make things better but the Manager was nasty I had been the for a week paid a week didn't no If I was staying so I paid daily but he tried to charge me 20 bucks every time why I was already there. So he would not give me my money back then he checked me in after telling me to check out so I could not get my money back and still had to check out

The room

The staff was a bit rude and not helpful at all.

The entire room was disgusting the lights didn't even work the shower wouldn't drain none of the dresses even had handles the lamp didn't work and there were blood stains on the sheets. We were literally there for 2 hours and when we tried to get refunded they refused

There was a lot of drug addicted people hanging on property. It was a large facility but, looked abandoned with squatters hanging around

Bugs the smell and the front desk worker is never behind the desk

My experience was deeply concerning, unsafe and far below any acceptable standards of cleanliness or hospitality.

Upon arrive, the front desk clerk had difficulty communicating, and when I entered the room, I immediately discovered multiple serious issues
1.) The ceiling appeared as thought it cold collapse at any moment
2.) The bathtub contained hair and looked as though it had not been cleaned
3.) the flooring was improperly installed, with holes that created a clear trip hazard
4.) The wall had unfinished plaster patches, as if the repairs were incomplete
5.) although I request a non-smoking room, the room smelled strongly of smoke, and the comforter had cigarette bun holes.

Because we had to leave for an event in Blackburg, VA, we initially planned to return later. However, upon coming back to the hotel, we felt unsafe due to unfamiliar men wandering around the parking lot. This added to our discomfort and concern for our safety.

When I informed the clerk that we could not stay due the room condition and the unsafe environment, he simply said "fine, just leave"

While check out stray cats were entering the lobby and spraying on the walls, and the clerk made no effort to remove them. As we drove around the building , it appeared that individuals were living long-term in some room, with crates and personal belongings outside the door.

I have never stayed in a hotel where I felt so unsafe and uncomfortable-especially while traveling with my daughter. the conditions were unsanitary, unsafe and uncomfortable for a paying guest. I strongly believe the health department should be notified.

No trash can in the room. No phone in the room. Towels were dirty. TV did not work. A few rooms down from me, there was a family LIVING in their room, with cats and children. I won't stay here again.

The room was clean, but the shower had broken tiles, the place looks run down, and lack of maintenance. It needs TLC.
the bed sheets had what appeared cigarette burnt marks through it. The A/c unit was working but falling apart.
It's an old place. The king bed is very soft "Saggy".
