You Won't Find Anything Better
Pros:

All I can say is that the Carlton does not come as advertised...it is even better in person! This may have been one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The rooms are great, the staff is amazing, and the hotel bar is second to none. The Beach Club is a great place to relax and have a few cocktails. If you are considering the Carlton, book it now!

Fantastisch wiederbelebtes Grandhotel!

Alles! Vorallem der Service und der Beachclub!

Cons:

Mini Kritik: das Zimmer ( 247) war in der Nacht viel zu warm -die Klimaanlage kühlte nicht ausreichend auf die gewünschten 18-20 Grad. Die Bettdecke war viel zu dick, wie für den Winter. ( Wurde dann ausgetauscht) Obwohl das Bett bequem war, tat es meinem Rücken nicht gut. Etwas zu weich.
Der Brausestrahl ist zu schwach und die spiessige Verfliesung in der Dusche passt nicht zum optisch, ästhetischen Gesamtbild des Hauses.

Das einzelne Beachbett am Strand um 45€ für Hotelgäste finde ich überzogen.

Absolute perfection
Pros:

Absolutley fantastic! The service in the entire hotel is impeccable and going beyond our expectations. The staff was accommodating every wish, including special orders for our baby and all requests during our stay. There was not a single negative aspect and we look forward to our next stay.

A superlative experience
Pros:

First of all, Carlton has an amazing customer attitude. Right from the point we landed when the team handled our car / bags it gave us a sense of comfort. During our checkin the staff ( Iryna) asked if we had a special occasion and on knowing it, immediately upgrade us to a fabulous room overlooking the Riviera. From then on the team kept throwing in surprises with fruits, cakes.

Overall the experience was just so special.

On the more practical aspects, the hotel has a historic lobby with a lovely bar. The renovated fitness and pool was wonderful as well. We didn’t have the time else the beach club is brilliantly located too.

I did feel that for a room of this class, a tub would have been great though I think the building structure does limit the space.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed this visit.
