Location and view were terrific! Staff friendly and helpful.
Room HVAC very noisy and hard to optimize temperature.
Once again I was at the Marriot at the fuel restaurant. Patrice was awesome. I was there with Dacna
Patrina was great . Will come again
PATRINA (at Fuel restaurant) did such a FANTASTIC JOB OF MAKING US FEEL WELCOMED! Thanks so much.
Great stay with wonderful staff. I was able to enjoy the breakfast at the Fuell restaurant. Our server Patrina was so wonderful and attentive to our table.
Patrina at Fuel restaurant was great. So kind and welcoming!
Beautiful location in the Heart of Detroit. The best part is breakfast at Fuel after a night out or a long work day, the server Patrina is just the best, she is funny and personable. Shes inviting and welcoming. She is an asset. Thank you.
From check in to check out this place is top-notch.
Patrina was very sweet! Super attentive :)
I love Fuel Restaurant and always look forward to seeing my favorite server, Patrina! She’s amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable about the city and menu. She’s the reason I keep coming here for breakfast instead of venturing out. I love the avocado toast which I give a 10! Thank you Patrina!!
The room was great, the gym/treadmill was great, the view was great.
all good
Very friendly staff. Beds were comfortable. Be aware double bed is not a queen, good for 1 person.
They couldn't handle a big event. The kitchen backed up 2 hours so we couldn't use the onsite restaurant, they stopped serving food. Kids went to bed hungry since it was late. Bathrooms are very small, towels are barely larger than hand towels.
The front desk was incredibly kind and helpful in helping me to resolve an issue when my flight got delayed amidst a blizzard derailing travel for much of the East Coast.
Thank you to Tammy and Denise for all your help
I recently had an extended stay at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center — longer than planned thanks to a winter blizzard in New York — and what could have been a frustrating delay turned into a genuinely memorable experience.
Being unexpectedly grounded gave me the opportunity to explore both the hotel and a bit of downtown Detroit, and I’m glad it did. The property itself is impressive, but what truly stood out was the enormous fitness center on the 40th floor. Not only is it one of the largest hotel gyms I’ve seen, but the panoramic views of the Detroit River and skyline are spectacular. Working out while looking over the city from that height is an experience in itself.
While I was there, Arllissa was working hard — cleaning, organizing, and folding towels — clearly taking pride in her role. She noticed I hadn’t seen the full facility and graciously gave me a tour of an entire section of the fitness center I didn’t even know existed. That simple gesture turned into a brief conversation that genuinely shifted the course of my day in a positive way. Her kindness and attentiveness made what started as a weather disruption feel like an unexpected gift of time.
I don’t often take the time to write hotel reviews, but this stay felt deserving of recognition — not just for the facility and views, but for the people who make the experience what it is.
Thank you, Marriott, and especially thank you to Arllissa, for turning a blizzard delay into a highlight.
Ms Victoria Johnson. Thxz to mz victoria, I told her about it The following morning and she apologized and gave my family free breakfast.
Mr JAVEYAH JUNIOR WOULD NOT ACCOMMODATE ME IN ANY TYPE OF FASHION. THIS HERE WAS MY DAUGHTER'S NINTH BIRTHDAY I ASKED HIM WAS THERE ANY WAY THAT WE COULD HAVE A ROOM WITH A VIEW? HE MADE IT CLEAR THAT HE WASN'T GONNA GIVE ME ONE, I ASKED HIM, WAS THERE ANY WAY HE COULD GET ME ON A HIGH FLOOR HE SAID THE 44TH FLOOR WAS THE HIGHEST I COULD GO. I WATCHED HIM OFFER OTHER PEOPLE WATER TO TAKE TO THEIR ROOM. HE WOULD NOT OFFER ME ANY WATER TO TAKE TO MY ROOM. HE EVEN GAVE ME ULTIMATUM TO TAKE THE ROOM OR NOT. I HAVE NEVER FELT LIKE A REAL LOSER , THAT WAS NO REASON TO TREAT ME LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF MY ADDRESS,
WHEN IT COMES AROUND TO SPENDING MY MONEY AND ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS TO SHOW MY DAUGHTER A NICE TIME ON HER BIRTHDAY.I HAVE AN EIGHT AND A NINE YEAR OLD, AND THEY WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS.I COULD NOT BACK OUT WHEN MISTER JUNIOR gave me an ultimatum to take the room or leave it. Four hours later after I took the room, I asked a young lady by the name of dorianan were there rooms on the upper floors And she says, yes, and she offered me one, but my family had already settled in.So we stayed in4413 BETWEEN TWO BUILDINGS AND I ASKED HIM NOT TO PUT US THERE, BUT I HAD NO CHOICE OTHER THAN TO TAKE IT.
