Mr JAVEYAH JUNIOR MADE THE WORSE.

Ms Victoria Johnson. Thxz to mz victoria, I told her about it The following morning and she apologized and gave my family free breakfast.

Mr JAVEYAH JUNIOR WOULD NOT ACCOMMODATE ME IN ANY TYPE OF FASHION. THIS HERE WAS MY DAUGHTER'S NINTH BIRTHDAY I ASKED HIM WAS THERE ANY WAY THAT WE COULD HAVE A ROOM WITH A VIEW? HE MADE IT CLEAR THAT HE WASN'T GONNA GIVE ME ONE, I ASKED HIM, WAS THERE ANY WAY HE COULD GET ME ON A HIGH FLOOR HE SAID THE 44TH FLOOR WAS THE HIGHEST I COULD GO. I WATCHED HIM OFFER OTHER PEOPLE WATER TO TAKE TO THEIR ROOM. HE WOULD NOT OFFER ME ANY WATER TO TAKE TO MY ROOM. HE EVEN GAVE ME ULTIMATUM TO TAKE THE ROOM OR NOT. I HAVE NEVER FELT LIKE A REAL LOSER , THAT WAS NO REASON TO TREAT ME LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF MY ADDRESS,
WHEN IT COMES AROUND TO SPENDING MY MONEY AND ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS TO SHOW MY DAUGHTER A NICE TIME ON HER BIRTHDAY.I HAVE AN EIGHT AND A NINE YEAR OLD, AND THEY WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS.I COULD NOT BACK OUT WHEN MISTER JUNIOR gave me an ultimatum to take the room or leave it. Four hours later after I took the room, I asked a young lady by the name of dorianan were there rooms on the upper floors And she says, yes, and she offered me one, but my family had already settled in.So we stayed in4413 BETWEEN TWO BUILDINGS AND I ASKED HIM NOT TO PUT US THERE, BUT I HAD NO CHOICE OTHER THAN TO TAKE IT.

Compassion Beyond a Reservation
Pros:

I need to recognize an absolute angel who works as the Night Auditor at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Hotel.

Although I was not a registered guest at the hotel I knew I was staying at a Marriott property, I arrived there late at night heavily intoxicated, lost, cold, and alone after being separated from my boyfriend. I’m from Ohio and had no idea where I was or how to get back to where I was staying. I had no phone or identification

Denise went far beyond anything that could ever be expected. She stayed calm, compassionate, and patient while I was confused and scared. She called multiple hotels in the area to help locate where I was staying and make sure I was safe. She even offered me a ride because I didn’t have a coat and didn’t know my way around the city. I couldn’t imagine walking from this property to the next property.

Her kindness, empathy, and genuine concern for my safety felt divinely sent. In a moment where I could have easily been taken advantage of or ended up in danger, God truly used her to protect me. I offered her compensation and she politely refused.

Detroit Marriott Renaissance is incredibly blessed to have someone like her representing their hotel. I will never forget her compassion, and because of her, I will always speak highly of this hotel and its staff.

Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity. 💙

Great service and mouldy toast!
Pros:

Good location clean and tidy.

Cons:

Breakfast toast was served with MOULD! I have never experienced this at any hotel!

Was quickly rectified by staff who were very apologetic but it’s besides the point and a health hazard.

Loved being able to walk downtown restaurants
Pros:

View of the river was fair. My last stay had a full view of the river. This one was blocked by hotel. Room was clean.

Cons:

Parking. I paid more because I wasn’t told about needing hotel to put parking on my room at check-in. So every time left the lot I paid fee instead of the daily rate.

Great view and a special thank you to Louise at the front desk!
Pros:

We had a fantastic hotel stay with an incredible view that was truly the highlight. The staff were wonderful, especially Louise at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make my 7-year-old feel extra special for his birthday. Because of her kindness and thoughtfulness, this trip has become a family birthday tradition. We can’t wait to return!
