Recommended hotel in downtown San Jose
Pros:

Lovely, uniquely decorated hotel room with lots of space. We appreciated the room safe and In-room coffee machine. Helpful staff.

Ubicación, la habitación grande y silenciosa.
La cama y almohadas de primer nivel.

This was a very nice way to start my Costa Rican journey.
Pros:

Excellent location for exploring central San Jose. Buffet breakfast had a good selection of options, and who doesn't love an omelette chef. Concierge staff were very helpful in looking after our mislaid luggage arrived at midnight on the second night.

Cons:

Slightly pricey for somewhere to rest one's head. Waited a very long time to be offered coffee on the first morning. Difficult to think of anything more to pick at. A lovely stay.

Gran Hotel Costa Rica - excellent place
Pros:

Great location, excellent staff and great food. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Balvin Connor took care of us every day with a smile on his face and took care of us like his own family. Thank you Connor!
