Great breakfast and location
The staff at they reception was not very helpful. The lady could not even tell us how much the breakfast is, she also could not help us to arrange a transfer to where we were supposed to pick up our rental car - she did try calling but was not successful.

Room was good. Big, clean, comfortable.
Only breakfast option was full buffet. We are light morning eaters: Fruit and toast or pastry for example would be a welcome option.

Nous nous sommes présentés à la réception, où l’on nous a indiqué que nous serions remboursés dans un délai de 5 jours. À ce jour, aucun remboursement n’a été effectué.
Nous avons également écrit à l’hôtel, mais n’avons reçu aucune réponse et remboursement.
Schönes Hotel an perfekter Lage. Saubere und komfortable Zimmer. Das Personal beim Empfang war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr gut.
Leider hat sich das Personal beim Frühstück vor allem auf ihr Smartphone fokussiert und dementsprechend war der Service alles andere als aufmerksam und freundlich.

Appalling night reception on 1/3/26(JASON I think was his name). Rang me as I was packing for early start next day. Said I hadn't paid must come up and pay. I went, said Booking.com guaranteed. He said no, he'd need to take from credit card NOW! I said no because card I'd given for incidentals was different from Booking.com one and didn't want to pay twice. He said he had to take money. I said I'd never had trouble with Booking.com before and asked to speak to manager. He said "I am the Manager" ! He was a young very boy! I went back to room, checked who Manager was and went back and told him who the real manager was. He looked very embarrassment. I went to his colleague - Daniel - who smoothed out the situation and explained they hadn't taken the money from my Booking.com card. I said that was unusual and told him to do so. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH RUDENESS FROM A HOTEL RECEPTIONIST BEFORE. They really need to be better trained. As I say Daniel helped me after that.
Another complaint was that as I was leaving early and had paid for breakfast I asked for a 'breakfast box'. They wrote down my name/room etc and said would be ready at 6 am. I checked before bed and they assured me it would be ready. I went up next day at 6.10 - no box; they told me to go to restaurant and make one up.
I had bad experience at HIlton 10 years ago and have stayed at Marriott or Radisson ever since.

The property could use some updating.
Good location in Central San Jose.
Room was small. Didn't like the bathroom being integrated into the bedroom - lacks privacy and comfort. The Wi-Fi only works intermittently. The restaurant evening meal was expensive for what it was.
