The gentleman who did the check in was very pleasant, not just to me, but to everyone he was assisting. The room was spacious and comfortable.
I know some renovations were taking place, but the elevator we used was a tight fit and did not have a great smell. The service at the bar was not up to standards. There were three bartenders between the bar and the tables and everyone around us had drinks before we sat down. We were greeted and ordered 2 beers on tap. The bartender put cups out to pour them and then wandered off without pouring them for about ten minutes. Once were finished, we waited another for 15 minutes before we could get one of the other bartenders to even come to the our end of the bar to order a second drink. It was just unsatisfactory. I would have preferred breakfast to be included in the price, but it wasn’t a deal breaker; we just dined at another different restaurant.
I liked the room overall, spacious and clean.
Front desk staff was kind-
The staff at breakfast area was rude on both days, ate entire breakfast and never received coffee with our meal. The following day staff in breakfast area told me not to take a banana or an orange because I didn’t have time to stay to eat hot meal, after the power outage I had work to complete before checking out.
We lost power for quite some time, no guidance or info as to what was happening or what to do in case of emergencies- no communication whatsoever. No apologies, nothing. Lost work I had completed due to power outage. Did not come back on until almost 2:30am. It got hot and uncomfortable.
There’s no microwave in room for almost $200 a night, that’s unacceptable.
Room was inviting but the bed was extremely uncomfortable, woke up with back pain both days.
I liked the room, but not the bed! I travel often and I’m not a hard person to please, I was not going to say anything about the bed, no microwave, losing power, Until…, staff at breakfast treated me terrible BOTH mornings, they did not want to assist you in any way and would prefer you NOT to even speak to them or to ask them any questions or for assistance! Staff is your point of contact with your customers, you can have a five star resort but if your staff is unkind, I promise it will affect people returning to stay at the Marriot East, Indianapolis! When in the hotel industry you should take care of your customers, especially a customer who travels and stays in your area often, it’s returning money! I will reconsider staying here again due to that very reason!

Well i didnt get the room i paid for cause they were remodeling and when i got there i recieved 2 queen beds instead of what i actually paid off which was a 1 king with 1 queen bed larger room, and the water line on the toilet kept running every minute, nobody fixed it! Plus you have to pay to park in their lots!!!
Shouting out Jeff Bobbitt and his left hand Terrill! We came into town for a volleyball tournament, and had reservations at another local hotel that ended up being trashy!! So at the last minute on Friday night, we needed 13 rooms for 2 nights and they accommodated us with no problem! The best part is they did it with a smile, humor, and just the right words we needed to hear. Thank you so much, from a very grateful volleyball team from KY!!
Great place to stay. I came in late off the road from a long trip and got a pretty cool room quick and easy. I put my stuff away and came back down to find some food and a drink and Mr. Bobbitt told me about the bar and bistro at the hotel. Ended up chilling at the bar until close. Cool place and even better people.

Extremely clean and newly renovated. The evening staff, i believe his name to be Jeff, made the stay perfect absolutely extraordinary and excellent customer service skills. I will 100% be booking another stay in the coming weeks.
Everything from the time i walked in to the time i left i had no complaints. A minor improvement could be a mitt to remove the lid from the syrup container in the morning as it was so hot, when trying to lift it off to get some, it burnt your hands. The toaster didnt work but the waiter we had completely jumped in and notified another staff member they removed it and went to the kitchen and made some for me. All around just friendly excellent service. Just keep up the good work!
