WATCH OUT FOR YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS!!! – KEEP YOUR "DO NOT DISTURB" SIGN ON YOUR DOOR
During a recent business trip, I returned to my hotel room and found my suitcase opened and its contents disturbed.
I immediately checked my personal belongings and discovered that an item was missing. I went straight to the front desk to report the situation, but the front desk manager only stated that she would leave a note for her manager to investigate.
The following morning, I spoke with the housekeeping manager. She also took notes and assured me that she would review the matter and contact me, which never happened. Despite having five separate interactions with hotel staff over a 48-hour period regarding the disappearance of my property from my hotel room, I was forced to check out without receiving a proper response, resolution, or any written documentation.
The lack of communication and accountability regarding a security incident involving my room is completely unacceptable.
Since I was scheduled to leave that Friday, I requested the General Manager's email address and submitted a formal written complaint seeking resolution regarding the removal of my personal property from my room.
The General Manager committed to calling me on Monday. Today is Thursday, and I have still not received that call.
At this point, it appears I will need to escalate this matter through Marriott's corporate claims process.
MY ADVICE TO FUTURE GUESTS:
Avoid staying at this hotel if possible.
If you do stay here, do not leave valuable personal belongings unattended in your room.
Keep your "Do Not Disturb" sign displayed on your door at all times.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
I didn’t realize there was an extra charge for Peking.
it was a very nice and clean hotel, i just had a problem with the inside lock to prevent unexpected entry from staff or guests, the lock was broken like screws very loose causing the door to be compromised if accidentally opened from the outside. i reported it and security came to tighten the screws. i thought it was done, i checked later and it was still loose so we slept loosely because the door couldn’t be secured from inside. overall the room was clean
The coffee pot did not work
Pretty misleading. A Marriott off the side of the highway with a huge parking lot that you have to pay to park in. Parking is run by a 3rd party so no waiver from the hotel. I’m a loyal Marriott member but this is stupid. Wouldn’t stay here again.
I stayed at the Marriott Saddle Brook hotel in April 2026 and reserved 3 rooms for my family and I. However, the hotel incorrectly charged my credit card for a 4th room that was never part of my reservation and was not under my name. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the hotel has still not addressed the unauthorized charge or provided a refund. I would strongly advise others to carefully review their hotel bills before checking out and monitor credit card statements after check out.
The hotel has yet to respond to my inquiry, which I made almost two months ago, and neither has the hotel responded to my credit card company’s inquiry.
I’m a Marriott Titanium status member with 1,500 hotel nights stayed globally.
Parking information was not disclosed while booking. In the middle of NJ suburb charging $25 for parking doesn't make sense.
So we stayed in 4 different rooms from 7-10 May, and we spoke about the hotel to around 30 more people staying there as we were all part of the wedding party. I have to say it was overpriced for what we got. It was dirty, and the worst thing we had to pay for wi-fi! I stayed in lots of hotels all over the world and that is a first. The price they charged us must include this basic function. Also coffees and teas should have been complimentary, but no. Bottle of water they leave inside the room is $7. I have to say that the hotel owner seems to be very greedy, extremely! Worn, scuffed, dirty carpets, terrible water pressure in some rooms. When 3 of the cousins who havent seen each other for many years stayed in the lobby late at night, they were asked to leave the premises. I would understand if they were drunk, disorderly, loud or not from the hotel, but none of these. Cousins were non-drinkers and adults, stayed queit, spoke. I assume staff didn't like that because they couldn't sleep in front of them. We each payed 182 per night (159 +all taxes, but without wi-fi which is extra $15!! per day) and please read what we got. Our wedding party probably took the third of the hotel for 3 nights for 182 per night per room, this all of the above is not what you should get!
Room was fairly good.
Didn't buy breakfast but simply getting a cup of coffee was horrible. First, most hotels at this price offer a complimentary breakfast. I had to pay for a single cup of coffee and it took me 5 minutes to finally get the coffee and then another 5 minutes to get milk. Staff at this hotel is apparently not trained at all.
Advertised robe and slippers but none in room. Had to go to desk to finally get what was supposed to be there. Again, poorly trained staff.
Everything..specially buffet service great customer service Susana and Shalyn thank
Rate parking lot
Comfortable and amazing staff in every department
It was all good
Great location, easy access to an event that I was supposed to attend
This property had an emergency situation that happened during my stay. Staff was unequipped to deal with the situation at the end of day we had to be relocated to another property. which cause a big inconvenience for myself and made me miss an event that I was supposed to attend that Saturday evening, but because of the confusion was unable to attend.
