Location was good
Staff double charged for booking stated they did not receive payment from booking.com. Provided me with breakfast vouchers for the inconvenience. Breakfast was fair to middling at best. Pool was hotter than the hot tub, kids were unsupervised. The tv would not accept a Roku, ps5, or allow you to cast. The shower hardly drained and the toilet barely flushed.
I have stayed at this hotel for business too many times to count. From the front desk staff (the whole crew) to Tonya in the M Club, Ashley and her colleagues in the restaurant and Al and Delores the shuttle drivers - they make a great team. Definitely a great place to stay.
Location and facilities .food was nice .
2 days in a row we didn’t get our rook cleaned had to call to reception
Room was great. Hotel shuttle takes you anywhere within a 2 -5 mile radius. Joanne and Al great drivers know a lot about the area
The Marriott Downtown in Providence was built in 1975... 50 years ago! The room we stayed in appears to not have been renovated since. The furniture was old. The upholstered chair arms were tacky as was many of the wood surfaces. There was no safe. The bathroom was exceptionally small. Its ceiling was unevenly laid painted acoustic tile. The air vent (assuming that was it) was a crack in the wall covered by an unfitted mismatched grill. The towels were so thin one can imagine they were the originals. I assume the bed was replaced at least once since '75, but unfortunately it had two divots... one for each of us. We were there to attend to a family reunion. Several in our party agreed that their rooms were very shabby. Hey Marriott, you can do better.
Nico at the beach bar
Ash at the main bar
Angel at the front-all 3 went above and beyond
Shuttle to the fan zone was awesome
Came to celebrate Scotland in the world cup. Pricing for these days (booked several months ago) was definitely surged-and for what our fan base brought to Providence not really fair. As world wide company Marriott should do more for the world. I booked on booking.com but also checked pricing at hotel which was even worse. Spoke with several from UK and they got much better pricing
Clean and the beds are comfortable. Nice double queen room. I would stay again in a heartbeat! My sister and I shared a room. We were both comfortable. Staff there were exceptional from housekeeping to front desk to restaurant to managers on the way out. Only thing is you have to pay $28 dollars or so to park there.
Walked far to my room. Had to pay for parking.
It was all ok
It felt old rooms could be upgraded
We were delighted by the warm welcome we received. It was graduation weekend and the hotel offered a free glass of champagne! Balloons and a cart with light snacks. So much fun!! The staff is excellent too. The indoor-outdoor pool is a treat..the on site restaurant is great. I totally recommend this place!
all perfect
The swimming pool is amazing!!!!!
Noise. They started cleaning the aisle at 7:00 AM, and we couldn't sleep because of the noise of the vacuuming.
Exceptional staff and all so very friendly. We very much enjoy our stays here. The breakfast buffet is excellent and though we did not dine in the restaurant this time, we have enjoyed meals there previously. The beds are comfortable with soft sheets and lovely towels. Location is good for walkability though there is a shuttle for the area provided. With the couple of small issues we reported, the manager was receptive and very kind and appreciative. Will definitely choose this hotel in the future when coming here.
I stayed on April 18, 2026, with my family. I had reserved and paid for a King Suite. On arrival, after a 30-minute check-in with a single front desk associate handling the lobby alone, I was sent to the assigned room. The floor was lined with stacked boxes — at least one obstructing a fire extinguisher and narrowing the hallway egress. The room itself had construction debris on the floor and no curtains on any of the windows.
The front desk acknowledged that the room was not in a condition suitable for occupancy. Despite the property knowing this in advance, no one had contacted me before arrival. The options presented at the desk were to initiate a cancellation through the booking platform myself, with a 10-business-day approval window and no guarantee of refund, or to accept a smaller, lower-category room at the same King Suite rate I had paid. With a family already on site and a two-hour drive home, I accepted the lesser room. No rate adjustment, no parking comp, no financial consideration. The only mitigation was breakfast vouchers; the buffet was not something we were comfortable eating. The hallway of the floor we were placed on had a strong urine odor, and an unleashed dog was loose near the elevator.
Four written complaints to the General Manager over 11 days received no response of any kind. The matter was escalated to Marriott Bonvoy Customer Care , then to Elite Services. After full review, Marriott declined any direct remedy and directed me to pursue Expedia. The property's account of the stay, as relayed back through Customer Care, contained several factual inaccuracies that I had to correct in writing.
I would not stay here again and would not recommend the property. The issues described above are not standard service hiccups — they are basic safety and accommodation failures, made worse by a complete absence of follow-up.
Would recommend looking elsewhere in Providence.
They asked me to pay $32 for breakfast, & i paid $32 to park my car. This is the first time someone has charged me for staying at their hotel. I travel a lot, and never has anyone charged me for parking & breakfast
Refund the money I paid
It has indoor and outside pool, it was clean and had nice staff.
You have to pay way too much for parking daily. There is no microwave in the room and check-in is too late 5:00 for check-in and no late checkout.
Very comfortable room.
I was under the impression that breakfast was included. I was also not prepared to pay $35 for parking.
I loved everything about this hotel. I would book again!
Everything was great!
