Great Hsircut with Jesse
Pros:

I scheduled a haircut at the salon at Omni Rancho Mirage. Jessie did such an amazing cut & blow dry I wish I lived closer. He captured my style perfectly and made some very good suggestions. He seems like someone who really enjoys what he does. Thanks Jessie

Terrible check-in experience
Pros:

We booked this hotel for a family vacation, but the front desk's incompetence made for a terrible start. Upon check-in, the staff assigned us the completely wrong room type. Having to haul all our luggage and manage a young toddler all the way back to the lobby to fix their mistake was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable for a resort of this level.

To make matters worse, their billing system is a mess. They charged me the resort and parking fees upon check-in, and then hit my credit card with the exact same charge the very next day. When contacted, they claimed they emailed my final receipt but completely failed to do so, leaving me with no choice but to initiate a formal chargeback dispute with my credit card company. Very unprofessional service and definitely not worth the headache.

Hotel with tons for active families
Pros:

Overall great place for a family trip. Great pools, amenities, and the grounds are beautiful. The gym is really nice and spacious. The palms cafe on site is a great place for coffee and breakfast items. Rooms aren’t super modern, but they are clean and nice. This place is definitely more about the amenities than the room. You also get to use the tennis/pickleball club for free. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants across the street. My only complaint is at check out I got a room charge that wasn’t mine from someone’s dinner. I had to wait until they figured it out. When the lady found it, there was no apology just that she found it and they will fix it. Glad she found the problem though.

Lovely resort with amazing staff
Pros:

The Omni was truly lovely -- the grounds are beautiful, well maintained and fit nicely into the desert motif, the restaurants have just been redone and the food quality was terrific, and the suite we were put in was beyond perfect and had a stunning view of the golf course! But what distinguished the resort most of all was the staff. From the minute we drove up we could tell this was a well run place. The bellman was gracious and helpful and led us out to our room in a golf cart and then carried all our bags up to the second floor. He stocked our fridge with water bottles, and to top it all off when my husband made a wistful remark that he would love to have a rocking chair to enjoy the beautiful balcony and view, the bellman proceeded to bring us not one but two rocking chairs for us to sit on the patio together. That level of service was indicative of all the staff. Jose, the loyalty ambassador, reached out to us pre-arrival and took care of every one of our (overly detailed) requests and not one thing was missed! The front desk staff on check in and check out where as friendly and helpful as one could want. And the waitress, Estrella, in the newly remodeled lunch restaurant took care of us as if we were in a Michelin star place (and the food was really terrific). Estrella told us she has been working there over a decade - and the longevity of the hotel's staff all around speaks to a place that is well run and well managed, and takes care of its employees.
If you are looking for a place where you will be made to fell taken care of, this is your spot!

Great stay
Pros:

Had a great 4 night stay over a long weekend. The grounds are beautiful and the room we had was very nice.
Some of the prices were a little high at the Palms cafe but we expected it at a resort like this. Plenty of dining options nearby to compensate.
Pool was very nice. Getting a seat around the lazy river during a long weekend was challenging but the kids still enjoyed it very much. Would be a bonus if the Lazy river and waterslide was open past 5. 6p or 7pm would be great if you have been out for the day.
We did have an electric vehicle and the free charging station was a nice but there a too few for a resort of this size. It lists 4 but 2 are reserved for Valet only. The two available are only on one side of the resort. Would be great to see a few added to the other.
The free ice cream cups in the lobby was a massive hit with the kids as well!
Clean updated rooms and very good service.

Great hotel.
Pros:

Superb experience at this hotel from check in to room cleaning to really excellent service in the main restaurant. The servers were efficient and very courteous and friendly. We found ourselves looking forward to seeing them every morning and as a result, we ate most evening meals at the hotel as well. It should also be noted that the food was also excellent.

Significantly overpriced
Pros:

I'm still trying to understand how OMNI can charge so much for this hotel. We had a 4 night stay recently, and were part of a team hotel block, so our nightly rate was reduced, but I still think we overpaid. Grounds and pools are beautiful, but that is about where the positive ends. Parking is $30/night- crazy. Rooms are very outdated- beds and pillows are uncomfortable, no microwave, bathroom has a slatted, pocket door which offers VERY little privacy, and our shower didn't drain properly and the head had terrible overspray- needs to be replaced. The rooms are spacious but nothing amazing. Just not worth what they charge, and we won't be returning.

Great balance of family friendly fun and a relaxing resort
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas. The kids absolutely loved the accommodations, the lazy river, and the pool area. They truly felt seen by the staff, which made a big difference and added to the overall experience for our family.

As adults, it was such a treat to see the kids so engaged and happy, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the beautiful ambiance along with the food and drinks. The resort is also within walking distance to several great dining options, which made everything even more convenient.

It’s a great balance of family friendly fun and a relaxing resort experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful grounds, nothing else was enjoyable
Pros:

Beware of old musty rooms with thin walls. And screaming kids. Peace and quiet not enforced. Kids in adult pool. Kids running amuck in the gym.
Called security at night for kids banging and running the hall at 930pm. Didn’t stop the madness. Met another couple at the adults only pool. Who had tried to nap and gave up.
They purposefully have a kids slide and pool. Why they don’t enforce the rooms and put families with children over there and not at the adults pool is nonsense. Lost a great guest here!

The golf- course scenery and the mountain views are beautiful.
Pros:

I liked the auditoriums where we had our conferences. The breakfast and dinner were very good. The staff were very attentive. The snacks were very good as well.

Cons:

The walls are very, very thin, the walls could use sound insulation. In my room I could clearly hear my next-door neighbor carry on a conversation, and he wasn't even speaking very loudly, he had a low to normal tone. I could also hear them flush the toilet.
