Great staff not so great hotel
Pros:

The conference we were attending was right in the hotel. All the staff was very nice and kind, front desk, restaurant, housekeeping.

Cons:

Unfortunately this was one of the worst Marriotts we have stayed at. The carpet in the hallways were bunched and raised. Room service dishes in the hallways were not picked up. The restaurant wait time was absolutely ridiculous. I don't know if it was short staffed in the kitchen or what but the length of time to get served made it so we could not go there because it took too long. The staff was polite and were trying but it was just not timely by any means. The food was also not the best, salmon burger was dry, pancakes tasted stale, cinnamon rolls were rock hard and the fruit tasted wrong (obvious it had been just carried over day after day, not fresh).

We were there with extended family members for my daughter university’s orientation. The dining room was an excellent place for gathering. We felt like we were sitting in our own home. It was comfortable and inviting.
The complimentary shuttle was so convenient to get to and from campus.

Not a thing. It was perfect

Convenient comfortable super clean
Pros:

We’ve stayed here a few times, both before and after renovation. The staff is kind and helpful, the rooms are spacious and well designed. Maybe the biggest bonus from renovation is that the sound control is good (we didn’t hear the noisy kids when we were in our room)
