Well located in downtown Victoria.
Restaurant was closed but not sure we would have used.
The location being downtown near many restaurants and the Inner Harbour. The one bedroom with kitchenette, full-size fridge and stove. Very friendly, professional and accommodating staff.
The individual sheets of toilet paper. Give us rolls.
Great location, we live close to Victoria and wanted to celebrate our anniversary with dinner and a few drinks downtown. They upgraded our room to a suite! Thank you! It was so nice to just walk everywhere, have a few drinks and not have to worry about parking etc.
Staff are lovely and helpful. Our room had all we needed to ensure our comfort. Great location! We will definitely return!
Very friendly staff, they were able to give me the room I asked for, and left a birthday treat for me.
Nothing
Nice hotel with a nice bar at Clive's. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a little tired though, but in general it was a nice place for our time in Victoria.
Pool was nice with a small gym
Classic hotel with classy rooms and decor. Staff are professional and organized. A shout out goes to Michael working the front desk who went out his way to assist with a problem that I had with the room provided (toilet). A non flushing toilet can stuff up a holiday! Michael quickly solved the issue and ensured that we had a most excellent stay. Highly recommend staying here.....the staff are exceptional and add to the pleasant surroundings.
Shuttle was awesome, Jesse is a beauty
good location, good beds and room size, friendly staff
noise from bar 1 floor down
Great location - minutes from the harbour and other downtown locations, and the family suite we stayed in with outdoor terrace and great views
Disappointed by the swimming pool - small, bit too cold, too many people, very limited changing facilities
I really enjoyed my visit, with my spacious suite; wonderful to unpack & hang up clothes, NOT 'live out of my suitcase for 9 days. The views at night and morning from Vista 18 were beautiful and the food was great.
The staff were very friendly and helpful; front desk, shuttle drivers, everyone. I asked at the front desk why there wasn't a hook in the bathroom for my bathrobe & nightgown. Within 20 minutes, a maintenance worker put up hooks in the bathrooms in my sister's and my suites.* On the last night, on the walk back from dinner at the Marriott, I tripped over uneven bricks in the sidewalk down the block. A front desk staff person brought bandages, tape, and lots of tissues to clean up my scrapes and scratches, and another staffer mended my broken glasses.
*We really needed individual rooms for our big suitcases, with space to relax and open a few Christmas presents in privacy. really needed individual rooms for our big suitcases.
Loved our stay at Chateau Victoria this weekend! We brought our grandson to Victoria to see the Monster truck show and decided to stay at the Chateau Victoria for a second time. It was just as good as our first visit, last January. It will be our next choice as well. Excellent service by every staff member we encountered (both times), right downtown, close to great restaurants and Vista 18 has excellent food and amazing views.
Room clean n view excellent however the step to the balcony was too high causing me to trip n fell scraping the shin of my leg n bruised knee. Could be worse if I fell down on the concrete floor outside
Our room was spacious and the beds comfortable. The small kitchenette were stocked with items needed for everyday use.
This is a locally owned Canadian hotel that is right in the heart of downtown Victoria. Once you park your vehicle and btw that is extra $21 US per night, you can walk everywhere you need. Big suites and wonderful rooftop restaurant for cocktails. There is construction going on across the street but they did not start until later in the morning and we couldn't really hear them from the room.
Beware the hot tub! I keep mine at home at 104 degrees and they easily have it at 108 or higher. Not a problem if you don't use the hot tub. The pool was wonderful!
