The room was fantastic, the staff were lovely and the hot buffet breakfast was to die for. Right in the heart of Brisbane City. If you have a large 4x4 there is parking elsewhere but all within walking distance.
Enjoyed a great two-night stay on vacay. For context, we traveled with two large suitcases for a several week trip Down Under. This shaped our view of room sizes and bathroom counter space.
Things we liked:
- Very friendly staff.
- Outstanding breakfast buffet (free to Globalists). All the expected international offerings (we’d guess 60 items), prepared superbly.
- Clean, well-maintained, modern rooms. Upgraded to top floor with a glimpse of the Brisbane River. Rooms are sort of European minimalist/clean lines.
- Great location. Very central in CBD, faces a major pedestrian mall and a block from very large indoor mall and major bus station. City Cat stop is maybe 0.5 miles away, South Bank museum district is under a mile.
- For Globalists, beyond breakfast, they offer an evening cocktail and chef’s tasting plate. Nice size pour on the wine, and the tasting plate is upscale.
Other notes:
- We found the room cozy for our needs, and countertop space lean. Nothing fatal, especially for just a two night stay, yet perhaps smaller than we’ve experienced in other Hyatt Regency stays.
- While not directly about Hyatt, the Brisbane bus is only $.50 to anywhere, including the City Cat river ferries. Don’t need a car in Brisbane…you can get anywhere easily on public transportation, and with the Hyatt’s location, nearly everything is via a direct bus that departs no more than two blocks away.
An excellent Hyatt Regency.
Visited from UK and loved our stay at this fantastic hotel, polite and helpful staff. Restaurant was excellent. Would highly recommend a stag here.
Flying in after traveling for 24+ hours. Got my digital key and went strait to my room. Awesome! Room was clean quiet and well maintained. AC cranked! Shower was good and the staff was helpful and friendly. The location is awesome . Stayed on the 13th floor which was odd as most hotels don’t have a 13th floor.. oh well.. will stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Brisbane Hyatt Regency. We especially liked the King bedroom. Nice shower, updated room. The only negative would be the mattress was a bit too soft. The hotel location is perfect for exploring Brisbane and steps away from great shopping. What stood out most was an amazing staff. From Housekeeping to the front desk and restaurant/bar staff. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. We hate to call out special people because everyone was so nice but Ansom and Farhat in the restaurant and bar were excellent. We give the hotel 5 stars.
We had an amazing stay the pool and room service were amazing m. We had everything we needed in the room and dressing gowns the shower was huge and great
Hotel is centrally located and the rooms well furnished. The gym is very limited with only a few machines. The customer service is poor and not up to the Hyatt standard.
This hotel is in a great location in the middle of city center. It is in the middle of shops, bakeries, restaurants, and close to the ferry. Across the hotel is a grocery store: Coles. You can walk around the area very easily as everything is walking distance or walk across the bridge where there are museums, ferris wheel, and more restaurants. And if you want to go somewhere further it is easy to get an Uber. It is a busy hotel but the staff are wonderful and accommodating.
The staff at the front lobby are very helpful and the staff at the restaurant is friendly and engaging.
Having stayed here in 2019, we planned a revisit 2026.
No issues at all, great location, bar prices where a bit high, but it is in the city center and shopping area.
Great room, staff all helpfull and friendly.
The location is superb, right on Queen Street Mall, with a great atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the upgrade to a higher floor. The staff were friendly and helpful, and service at both the restaurant and bar was responsive.
Breakfast variety, however, became repetitive during my stay. The pool was great, and it would be even nicer if the bar on the 4th floor could consider extending its opening hours.
Not nearly what I would expect from a Hyatt Regency. Our room was very worn, bathroom door did not close and it needed a full cleaning, we used points, so maybe they decided to put us in there worse room.
The hotel is located perfectly - on the mall and within walking distance of Southbank, the Sky Deck, Roma Street Parklands and the Botanical Gardens. The buffet breakfast is outstanding with a huge variety of choice and great barista coffee included. The pool area is very nice, with cool breezes and overlooking the Mall (great for people watching). The hibiscus bar at the pool is good too. We saw other people enjoying lunch at tables beside the pool and watching the mall below. All Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was sparkling clean with great amenities. The only negative I have is that the room is quite small, and the bathroom feels like it is in the bedroom. But it was really lovely for a weekend stay and we would go back again any time.
The staff are amazing at the Hyatt Regency Brisbane. They are all so friendly, helpful, and attentive. This would have to be the best hotel for customer service, and I have stayed at many hotels in my life.
From the staff at reception, the restaurant, the Hibiscus Bar, Housekeeping, all have amazing customer service skills.
The location is perfect, so convenient to Queen Street Mall and you feel safe and secure when travelling alone.
The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfy.
We always choose to stay here when travelling to Brisbane.
Well done team for ensuring your hotel is a 5 star experience!
Great large comfortable room. Very clean and everything you need in your room. Lovely view overlooking the river which gave to a lovely atmosphere. Noise level from street was not too bad. Good location for the shops and hotel easy to find from front and back. Good service throughout the restaurant and plenty of different choice for breakfast. Considering the hotel was very busy nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately the tea urn in the breakfast room was working and Nicholas was so helpful and arranged a lovely pot of tea for us nothing wasn’t to much trouble for this young man he checked I received my tea and was there anything else I needed He is a great asset to the team We stay in lots of hotels in Australia and around the world and this is a great hotel Thank you for a great stay and look forward to a return visit
Hyatt Regency Brisbane came to our rescue when we arrived late in Brisbane after a 7 hour flight delay and couldn't check in to our Air BnB with no contact from our host despite repeated attempts throughout the day. With city accommodation in short supply due to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo performance, after 10pm at night, they Hyatt Regency were able to accommodate us and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Despite us being a 'last-minute' guest, we were made to feel extremely welcome and special. Throughout our stay, no request we made was too difficult - all the staff were so kind and accommodating. It turned an incredibly stressful arrival into one of our most enjoyable holidays yet. I wish I could thank all of the team personally - they are exceptional in every way.
Enjoyable stay friendly staff, great location and very good breakfast buffet. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable
Fantastic location. Staff and facilities were great The pool was great, we spent many hours around the pool. Breakfast was delicious, so much variety and staff at breakfast were the best.
However, the room was very overpriced. Qld summer and no aircon as we entered. Shower was below average. Pressure terrible and the shower head kept falling off and shower scum around the bottom of the shower.
Not acceptable when you're paying $900 a night.
Same hotel has 2 addresses but only one hotel. We passed by front of hotel as the address we had of the hotel was the back entrance!!
We spent two nights in Brisbane and stayed at the Hyatt Regency, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Queen Street Mall, surrounded by plenty of shops and dining options. Although it’s not right by the river, we stayed on an upper floor with views overlooking the Museum of Brisbane, which was a lovely perspective of the city.
During our stay, we didn’t need to use any transportation at all — everything was within easy walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Brisbane.
Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and the staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. We didn’t get a chance to use the swimming pool, but it certainly looks like a great spot to cool off while enjoying the unique experience of swimming in the middle of the city.
One of the highlights was the artwork displayed throughout the hotel, including pieces by Aboriginal artists that beautifully reflect Brisbane’s culture and identity. We truly appreciated this authentic local touch.
Just to mention that the hotel entrance can be a bit tricky to find at first, but taxi drivers are familiar with the location and know exactly where to drop guests off.
Customer service was amazing, its a great easy location and the amenities were also well rounded with decent sized rooms
