The staff was nice. Check in was easy.

Small rooms unless you get lucky. My friend got the exact same king butt his was larger and equipped differently even though we made the reservations together online for the exact same room. Then the best part.... came back to my room around 11pm on the first night to walk into a room that had a Marijuana smell so strong that it made me and my wife nauseous. I went straight to the front desk where I was told.... there was nothing they could do because they were sold out but that we would be "comped." When I went back to the room, my wife and I again tried to go to sleep but was not able to because of the smell... she called the front and a new member of the staff miraculously had another room. This was on the 1st floor away from my family who all came in for my daughter's wedding. It wasn't a king, it was 2 doubles and small would be in understatement but hey, at least it was smelling like clean air. When I went to check out yesterday morning (after being told I would be "comped") I was told that the hotel could do nothing because I booked online. They wouldnt give me a dime back. I got points?.. I don't travel, I don't stay in hotels except for rare occasions. Points to me mean nothing. What means something is the amount of money I spent on a 2 night stay to be close to my family, in a bed that was comfortable for myself and my wife, that also didn't smell the way it did. Extremely extremely disappointed. I will be contacting booking.com for help because, im sorry, I don't see how I have to lose my hard earned money that I spent at a location that prides themselves on the 100% GUARANTEE program just to be able to use the side door of excuses and say, "oh, you didn't book with us so we cant give you $$$ back for your inconvenience, here's some points you'll never use." I just don't understand why I could not get compensated? Did booking.
