The front desk staff were wonderful. The person I spoke to on the phone a few days after my stay was wonderful.
This could be a beautiful hotel, however it is not! It is in an extreme state of disrepair! Starting with the covered drop off area, there is a missing piece of 'ceiling' approximately the size of a sheet of plywood (4'x6') missing and surrounding pieces of building materials about to fall. The doors going in are cloudy they are so dirty. As soon as you walk in it smells musty, some of that I will attribute to the pool and fountain. The room I was in needed remodeling! The bedskirt was ripped, the sheet threadbare. The drapery was off the rod, old, and worn out. The bed was extremely soft and bouncy, obviously in need of replacing. I rated the cleanliness as a 'straight smile' because I inspected for bugs and saw none, and feel it was as clean as it could be considering the old state of everything in the room. Please remodel this hotel!!! It has great potential!! I found a beautiful fireplace with the most unusual tiles close to the lobby area, I believe the room had brochures. The pool atrium area could be magnificent.
Price for our room was good. Breakfast was very nice. Facility is very large and if you have never stayed at a hotel that was also a conference center, getting to the elevators was very confusing.
Being such an old building, our room was very musty. Air fresheners would be a good idea for rooms not inhabited on a regular basis.
Glad we were able to get a pet-friendly room. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable and the free breakfast was a nice bonus.
The breakfast area had good food, but the kitchen staff were slow at wiping tables and cleaning
Just a bit of paint and a carpet sweeper would add to cleanliness.

Old, dated and the rooms were worn. Clearly there is a high rate of long term guests living in hotel.
