We love the vintage/retro vibe the most! The housekeeping is on point, our room was always perfect when returning.

Unfortunate circumstance on our last day because everything else on other days were comfortable.
Pros:

The facilities offered at the hotel were lovely, especially the heated pool and gym! It was the perfect stay for a girl's trip, within range of most things we wanted to do in Austin. The staff were very helpful and friendly; I also enjoyed the convenience of MorningBird (coffee/ snacks) in the lobby.

Cons:

Everything felt perfect until the last day when the temperatures dropped. I was wondering why I was coughing and sneezing more when I realized that the windows were leaking water all around the edges. Two windows were covering two walls of the room, one of them facing the TV & other electronic appliances. Seems like a health/safety hazard as this wet the walls, carpet and anything basically below or around the area.

Just alright
Pros:

An adequate hotel. Our room was clean, but in need of upgrading as it was showing signs of wear and tear. The sink is outside the bathroom which doesn’t work in so many ways. We overlooked the freeway so the room was noisy during the night. There was also occasional loud music during the night coming from below. Never found where, but I suspect it was coming from the outside speakers at the front of the hotel. Staff were generally very good and helpful. The restaurant was good. Had breakfast a couple of times and the young female server was outstanding due to her helpfulness and attentiveness.

Authentic Austin
Pros:

Cutest little boutique hotel; I went to meet family for coffee in the Morningbird cafe, and I can't believe I hadn't been before! The customer service is excellent and the drinks were made perfectly and served piping hot. I especially thought Suki was very funny and friendly. Would definitely pop in for a latte anytime I'm in the area, and I'll recommend all my family stay here for a more authentic Austin experience over soulless chains.

Great coffee and great vibes
Pros:

Imagine having to spend an entire night sleeping on an airport floor. Well that’s what happened to me the night before I went to this coffee shop. The next day I met a barista named Suki, and she made me such the perfect latte that absolutely changed my day and my trip! Everyone at this establishment was so kind and so understanding of the nightmarish travel I had for work! Could not rave more about the quality of the coffee, the generosity and friendliness of the staff, and again, I have to shout out Suki who is so amazing!

Such good value for the money
Pros:

I recently stayed at downright Austin with my partner - she was on a business trip so I got to explore Austin during the day! So fun! I highly recommend this hotel, we had a great experience and it was so affordable compared to other options in the area. Felt like everything I wanted to see in Austin was easily accessible. Hotel staff was also very friendly and attentive our whole stay. Shout out to Suki who makes an incredible nondairy peppermint mocha!!! What a doll.
