The room itself was clean, linens were clean. The bed was comfortable. The location was perfect for what we needed. We wanted to be close to Cedar Point and also near Norwalk, where we were visiting family. The cleaning lady who was working on our floor when we were packing up to leave was extremely nice. Probably the nicest staff member we encountered all weekend.
After checking in, asked the attendant at the front desk about wi-fi access. He originally said he would need to find the brochure and once he did he would call me. There was a long line of people forming (after midnight) at the front desk, and he seemed overwhelmed. I went back to my room where I found that I did not even have a phone in my room for him to call. We thought maybe he was going to call my cell. almost an hour passed with no call. I went back to find him and he said he tried calling but I did not answer. He was surprised when I told him there was no phone in the room. You would think the front desk guy would know stuff like that. He told me how to get onto the wi-fi by typing in my last name and room number and it kept saying my information was not found in the system. He could not help me and told me to come back the next day when someone else was working. When I went back in the morning, the guy who was working explained to me that my middle initial needed to be in front of my last name. Once I did that, it worked, but I don't understand why the other guy didn't know that. Also, they did not provide ice buckets. Luckily we had a container with us that we could use. Also, there was a serious lack of available electric outlets in the room. One outlet in the bathroom and outlets on the night stands and that was it. This was supposed to be a "suite", which literally just equated to a room with a granite countertop on the side, and there were no outlets at all on the countertop, so you couldn't really use it for much! While the rooms were clean, the hotel itself was not very clean overall, seemed very outdated in many ways, and the rooms did not look as nice as the photos on the site showed.
The pillows were fluffy.
No hot water in shower because the knob just kept turning and turning. WIFI was spotty and I kept getting kicked off. The whole hallway smelled like dope, really really bad.
The only good thing was the location.
The room was dirty And very humid. We found pop cans and used tissues. I was told the room was clean . How could that be when there was garbage in the room . The hotel staff was not helpful. Also the room was never cleaned and never received new towels. I was told they were too busy .
Awful smell- my throat constricted, heavy breathing. Started in the lobby, continued in the room. Had to run out of the hotel within 10 minutes just to breathe. Everything falling apart. Just awful SO not worth the money, should be 50 bucks a night so people know what they're getting into.
Do not come here if you have respiratory issues or want a clean place. This place should be bulldozed. ALSO booking.com gave me the run around, I called to try to cancel due to safety concerns (couldn't breathe!) After getting through AI and talking with agent he said it would be taken care of by morning. By morning my stay was "over" so no AI or agent could help cancel/refund.

Old breakfast, hall way smelled like cigarette smoke. Pool was green. Never any staff at the front desk. Asked for extra blanket told they were out.
I like the washer and dryer were close to my room, however I think it’s time for an upgrade on the washer and dryer. I liked that I was on first floor and close to exit. The room was set up nicely. Was Enough space. Happy to have a mini fridge. And we did feel safe.
The bathroom, specifically the shower was not cleaned very well nor kept up very well. The bathroom looked neglected.
