I visit Richmond often for work and need to stay for more than a day when I do and I usually stay at the Marriott in Downtown or stay at the Marriott in Short Pump. This time I decided to give this Delta a try.
Customer service from all the staff I encountered was great! Very professional and friendly. Checking in was spot-on, the lady checking me in was helpful and courteous and explained the Pantry (their version of the lounge). She also put me in a huge room, as an upgrade.
The property’s common areas were nice, clean, and well-maintained. The room seemed decent, but is in need of being updated. It appears to be partially updated, but it’s rather oddly configured and there was some appointments that were definitely dated or needing replacement, due to stains/overuse. The shower basin was one of them, it had nasty big black stains all over it. The counter in the sink area of the bathroom was not very useable, even though it was long, as it was too narrow to sit my toiletry bag on. There was an oddly placed mini fridge in the middle of the floor in the living room area of the room, which should probably have been inside a cabinet. There was a kitchenette style cabinet/counter system, where they should put a fridge, but instead they had lots of drawers and cabinets which were all empty – so why would this be in a hotel room? The positive of the room was the TV working great and the HVAC working nicely and not being too loud.
The Pantry was pretty nice. I stopped in it twice, once for late afternoon snacks and it was fully stocked with a nice selection of snacks and drinks. Then again very early the next morning for coffee and I noticed they put out bagels (which were individually wrapped), butter, a toaster, and items that were nice breakfast snacks to enjoy with coffee. It was decent. Though, I’m not a fan of these coffee machines with the touchscreens… they don’t consistently make a decent cup of coffee.
Overall, it was a decent stay. But coming back, I think I’ll stay at the main Marriott instead.
Enjoyed all amenities including the restaurant, pool, and the shuttle service. The staff were very friendly.

Staff were very polite. Common areas clean and modern
We had to pay $26 every day to park in the hotel’s own car park!
The whole hotel was cold and we had to request an extra heater for our room.
Furniture in the bedrooms was dated and mismatched but clean
We had an amazing corner suite, full of windows from which we could see the great panorama of the city, the room was well equipped, parking was convenient and staff was friendly and nice. Amazing hotel

Nice location, quick check in and check out procedures
The swimming pool and hot tub were both cold. Parking in the hotel garage was expensive ($26/day)
Not much.
The room was dirty. The sheets had stains or weren’t washed. The windows were leaking water inside. And many more.
Zimmer waren in Ordnung.
Es gab fast überall leichten Chlorgeruch.
Parken war auch nicht gerade billig.
The location, the staff, clean and welcoming entrance and free parking!
The shower was clogged (the water rose half way after 1 shower), there was dried pee on our toilet seat, we couldn’t leave the parking lot with our key at 10am when checking out (we had to go back inside and ask for help getting out), and the 2 full beds were too small for 4 people.
On site parking
Could hear shower or hair dryer from other room and lots of doors slamming
Great hotel! Good location, easy access to local and close-by tourist attractions. Clean, bright interior; very helpful, professional and courteous staff. Good security features - room key required to access parking garage and hotel elevators; safe in room.
One beautiful hotel. Right in the center of one of our favorite cities. The rooms are superb and the service, second to none. If you are staying in Richmond, we suggest you consider the Delta Hotel. It's pricey but well worth it
Location, large room, nice pool
Pay for parking, no breakfast
