The staff were kind and helpful. The room was clean
The bed was unable to be slept in. The mattress was caved in badly in two places and horribly uncomfortable. It was obvious to the naked eye that it was damaged but it was still presented for use. My poor daughter had to sleep on the floor for two nights. The staff were kind and brought her lots of pillows to sleep on.

The room itself was lovely. Had read some bad reviews re dirty bathrooms etc but ours was perfect and seemed new. The hotel location was really good with shops and restaurants nearby. There was a lovely park over the road. There were also 2 underground stations nearby Russell Square and Holborn both just a short walk to the hotel.
We were there in the middle of the heatwave and there was no air conditioning. They did put a fan in the room but the heat was unbearable and it was just moving the hot air around. I would have given it a better value for money score if they had invested in aircon.

The location
The room was extremely small. No space to put the suitcase.No bar fridge, no iron or ironing board
I arrived 2hrs prior to check in and was told the room wasn’t available which was fine but was then asked did I want to pay extra for early check in.. I didn’t pay extra so then waited for the 2 hrs. I’ve stayed at the thistle several times and the location is good but the standard has deteriorated!I probably won’t stay there again

Placeringen virkelig god, faciliteterne fungerede godt. Vi sov godt på trods af, at det var ret varmt og vi måtte have en ventilator kørende.
Værelset var rigtig fint renoveret, borset fra vinduerne, der var gamle og meget ulækre. Morgenmaden var kedelig og personalet havde ikke rigtig helt overblik, når man kontaktede dem.
