Disaster!
Pros:

The only thing I liked about this hotel is the location.

Cons:

I don’t even know where to start. We arrived on a very hot day. There is no air conditioning, just a fan and we can‘t open the windows in the night when it‘s cooler. The windows open only for 10 cm and then even there is a lot of noise - we were on the first floor and we could hear everything from the street.
Then there are only two plugs in the room. One for the TV and one for the fan. We had to prioritise.
The bathroom is tiny with no free surface to lay your toiletries and no plug to use a hair dryer.
Another big problem for us was that there is no mini fridge in the room - on hot days this is a problem.
But what made this visit unacceptable was that a bag went missing from our room. A bag with stuff we bought in London as memories from this trip. We reported it as soon as we realised. The staff claimed that they searched for the bag. They were searching for three days and not once did they feel the obligation to let us know of where they stand with the search. We always had to proactively ask until they said they did not find anything. They never apologised and only because I asked, they refunded what I could guess was the value of the bag content.
And from a different more humane perspective, I fell sick during this time and although they knew it, not once did they ask if I needed something.
The price charged is not proportionate to the quality offered. I would not recommend this hotel.

For the price I paid the room was not up to standard although it was very clean
Pros:

It was close to Covent Garden Opera House and other attractions

Cons:

No shaving point in bathroom
Not enough power points to plug in phones as both being used by television and fan, which we needed to leave on 24/7 as the room was very hot and mobile phone charging points not functioning properly.

Cons:

fehlende Lüftung, fehlende Klimatisierung, fehlende Steckdosen, fehlender Schallschutz

Cons:

The room was much smaller than I expected, and the window could only be opened slightly, so it felt stuffy. There was no air conditioning, and they provided a fan instead, which wasn’t enough. Overall, it was disappointing.

On the positive side, the staff did their best to help me resolve the situation and assisted me in getting a refund, which I really appreciated.

Great value for money, comfortable rooms, convenient location.
Pros:

Convenient location, good value for money, comfortable, clean room

Cons:

Very hot in peak Summer, no air conditioning and the windows have restricted openings. There is a desk fan supplied, but it doesn’t cool the room down.

Wonderful stay for a conference and book-shopping! Plus discovering a Drury Lane Vintage Shop
Pros:

Bloomsbury is (of course) an excellent location - accessible to Kings Cross St Pancras, and the Thistle is almost in the heart of cafe, pub, bookshop, etc area nearby, and the Foundling Hospital and children's garden - a short walk away. As for hotel facilities - towels superb! (and sufficient of them ...) shower - water pressure excellent, manipulation of heat and turning-on easy, good firm mattress and generally good comfort. Plaudits to staff - particularly the housekeeper - for providing more milk and biscuits over the three-day/night stay. The 'offer' of free breakfast if one does not require room service is fine - but for someone who does not require breakfast, the realisation suddenly comes that indicating 'no room service required' means that the tea/coffee, milk and biscuits are not replenished daily: for a three-day stay this was important, and the housekeeper was wonderful in addressing this issue promptly!

Cons:

Shampoo and conditioner issue - again! Too many hotels seem to forget that conditioner is a 'must' ... still there's a Sainsbury's not far down the street with not too limited a selection.

Hot hot hot!!!!
Pros:

We were on the 4th floor which didn't help the heat. I understand that we stayed during a heat wave but there should have been more done to make our room more comfortable its was unbearable hot. No respite at all from the heat outside! In fact it was worse. My friends were on the 3rd floor and were also complaining of the heat but when I went to their rooms they was a massive difference! Also a difference in the size of their rooms. Ours was small and stuff. Other wise this is an adequate hotel. Dated but clean enough. Good shower although small.
