Clarion Hotel & Conference Center Lewiston

Room smelled musty mentioned it. They said they would take care of it. Nothing happened constantly had key issues. Card issues getting in made several trips to get card back on carpet stained debris under cabinet mold in the bathroom. Never will go back again

Unable to contact front desk! Unable leave message and when transfered to rewards desk had NO RECORD! Very bad situation!
We stayed there in June also and had no TV working or hot water wouldn't do it again!

the sauna was out of order.

It was a little outdated, but no big deal. My Booking.com reservation was in the system, but somehow the property itself did not have a reserved room. I’m at least glad they had an available room after the fact. The electronic door lock on the entryway was falling off the door, which blew my mind. I Don’t usually take advantage of continental breakfast, but I decided to go down and it was actually disappointing. The room was dark and quiet. There were four other families eating and everyone of the other 20 tables was filled with dirty dishes so there wasn’t any silverware and nothing to drink. Definitely will not be staying there again.

There was major plumbing work being done which affected the toilet and shower in our room. The complimentary breakfast was not worth it it. Based on breakfast we did not eat in the attached restaurant for lunch or dinner. There was no bar soap in the the room - down to the front desk. After checking in it was 2 more trips to the Front Desk to get a room key for a room that wasn't already occupied. There was a phone in our room but the phone system was not working and our phone was not plugged in - a decorative item only. 2 towels, 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth for 2 people for 2 nights. No ice machine - go to the front desk and the Front Desk would get it from the restaurant for you. No working elevator but there was a luggage cart at the top of the stairs.

First I was provided a room with a malfunctioning toilet that could not be shut off. I was given a second room. The room had a smoke detector on the ceiling that flashed a bright light every 8 seconds. I could see it even through my closed eyelids while trying to sleep. Then I had difficulty turning the shower on next morning and was told to pull it out with strength. Then the food on the buffet line was not hot.

The garden view was limited… more color needed, more flowers
No elevator.

I didn't like the fact that I paid $200 for a meal that I couldn't eat and on top of that. I want to use your bathroom and there was no soap in any of the soap dispensers in the men's room and when I went to the front office, the lady told me, oh there's plenty of soap in the lady's room, yeah, I will never be going back there. And I will never refer them to nobody very lousy hotel

Our toilet ran all night, even after saying something. My TV didn't work. The saunas AND hot tub were "out of order" but had clearly been used as there was a pool float in the hot tub and soaking wet towels all over the floor in the sauna changing area. 1 of the 2 rooms I booked had no fridge OR microwave...and that was after they changed rooms because the original room we were put in had the bed on the FLOOR, no desk or nightstand!! I get that the hotel is undergoing renovations but the rooms that aren't done should be blocked off! They should NOT be renting out 1/2 completed rooms!
The most GHETTO place I have ever stayed and I travel quite a bit, and not always to the best places. Avoid this hotel until they announce that the renovations are complete!! There is so much potential there, but not worth being open and getting bad reviews while they get there

The pictures in this site are obviously AI generated which is sad and makes this place disappointing. The front of the building has been renovated but the rooms need LOTS of work. We had to change our rooms 3 times, the first time our key wouldn’t work to get into the room, the next room didn’t have hot water and the tv didn’t work, the next room we were in for two days and then had to change because of electrical problems. The boiler had an issue so there was no hot water for a day and a half. The next two days of showering consisted of scalding hot water or freezing cold water, not a pleasant experience at all. The bathroom is very small. You have to go in, shut the door while trying to move out of the way, then sit on the toilet. The pool was freezing cold for being an indoor pool. The sauna and hot tub didn’t work. There were dirty towels lying all over the place. The bathroom inside the pol area had poop on it and was disgusting. There was no coffee machine in the 2 out if the 3 rooms. And no more than 1 wastebasket besides the one in the bathroom. Out of the 3 rooms 1 had a hairdryer and neither of the rooms had enough towels/ washcloths for the number of guests. We had to keep asking for more stuff every day. This place should not have opened to the public if it wasn’t completely ready. The telephone lines didn’t work either.
And as for booking.com if I would have needed assistance with anything there is no convenient number to get ahold of anyone. It should be in the app as soon as you open it. Not have to search and get some odd phone number that doesn’t even work.
