Clean, comfortable affordable stay

Cons:

I was charged for the room through booking.com then also charged the deposit. Then I go check my balance and see I was also charged an additional time for the price of the room because of the card I paid with? I’m pretty sure they should disclose that information before making an unauthorized charge. I called to get this clarified and the man was okay until I told them they should communicate this with guests as not everyone just has extra money laying around and it went from nice to rude then ending with me being hung up on in my face.

Cons:

Free WiFi only for select guests who join the select guests group. Very surprising. Nowadays even in much smaller and less expensive places Wi-Fi is unconditionally free

Staycation at its best for CT residents
Pros:

Fantastic experience, wonderful room upgrade and right in downtown new haven. We are from 15 minutes away and it felt like a real vacation. Bar 19 has some fantastic cocktails. The front desk staff are incredibly helpful and ready and willing to please.
