Clean quite conveniently located
Noise from the streets at night
stairs from garage while elevator out.
The hotel's location was good. You could easily tell the age of the hotel once you got there. It's an old hotel, however, but they have kept the room clean and tidy. During our stay, the parking garage lift was broken (for two weeks according to staff). A generous white man at the concierge offered to help move our bags from the garage to our room. He was the same person who helped us to move the bag to the garage on the day when we checked out.
We were shaken up by the loud knock on our door from the house keeping at 8:10am on Apr 8 (Room 1118). She knocked at every doors on our floor announcing "house keeping" and wanting to clean every single rooms. It lasted for about an hour with loud noises from her on every inch of the corridor until she made her way to slowly disappear and vanish from our floor.
While Omni New Haven is showing her age, the cleanliness of the hotel and the staff really make her shine! During my four night stay I had several interactions with staff in various roles and each one was a positive experience, questions answered and issues resolved quickly. Bonus- the hotel is surrounded with quality restaurants from numerous cultures.
The hotel was beautiful
The area was a bit rough and very loud at night
Hi, I noticed that the hotel has charged my card incorrectly with two separate charges of $100 and $114, and I have not received any refund yet. I checked out at 7:00 AM and did not make any purchases or use any hotel services.
I’m concerned about why these charges were made without my authorization. Could you please look into this and arrange a refund as soon as possible?
The hotel is centrally located and only 10mins walking from Yale. Very clean and spacious rooms and helpful stuff. Espresso coffee machines in the room are very helpful.
Nothing
The location is convenient, staff are friendly and helpful.
Soundproof is not that great. The heat could not go over than 80F - it was not too much of an issue since it was not that cold the two nights I was there (more of an annoyance issue lol). The coffee maker did not brew.
Close to Yale campus - very convenient for us. Reasonable price.
Service was average, the property is worn out, needs some upgrades. Room service pizza was not good. Top floor restaurant had nice views and good breakfast options. We lost a personal item and there was a minimum effort to help us retrieve it.
Clean average hotel
I was not told when i checked in that was a 26$/day for parking
Great hotel and wonderful service. Rooms and facilities were clean and well maintained. Bar was fantastic and Happy hour prices excellent. Only downer here is the EXTREME noise coming from the street. Avoid a room that is toward the front of the hotel as even on the 16th floor it was ridiculously loud. Not entirely the hotels fault (although may be time to reseal/replace the windows, etc), but the noise made it incredibly difficult to sleep.
Loved the location and the room
