Ramada by Wyndham Fairfield NJ

The hotel was disgusting and very shabby. The carpet in the hallways was threadbare and significantly worn in spots. Also weird bleach like stains in the stairwell baseboard carpets; about 10 in stairwell we used. Our initial room stunk of cigarettes and we were moved to a different room. The room was very shabby and furniture very worn; lots of chips on wood furniture and stains on chair. Bad paint jobs in bathroom with splatter everywhere. Rusty drop ceiling in bathroom. A previous renter’s soap was in the shower. The room wasn’t well cleaned; we found marijuana in a drawer on day two. On day two the hallway stunk of cigarettes and marijuana and I complained to the front desk. I asked if we were in the smoking section of the hotel and told there wasn’t one and it didn’t smell down there. Our keys didn’t work on day when we return to hotel. A member of the housekeeping team (who was wearing a LaQuinta uniform) was walking by, called down to the front desk to confirm the name on the room and let us in but we had to get our keys rekeyed. Besides the uniform belonging to another brand, this was the only redeeming quality experienced. The side entrance we used didn’t always close and lock leaving a door unlocked and open throughout the day and night. Also pool was not open and told maybe in the summer. On final day, there was a cat wondering the hall.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. My room was poorly maintained with a clogged sink and bad ventilation. It was clear the room hadn't been properly cleaned, as there was still trash/mess on the desk from whoever stayed there before me. Very unpleasant experience and poor management of hygiene

Pros: Good location, less than an hour travel to NYC
Staff are pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Dirty Hallway
I hope it can be cleaned at least once weekly.

Terrible hotel. Very dirty, dried blood on the sheets, big blob of hair on the bathroom floor. Dust on the floor. Overall terrible experience.

If you are looking for a nice clean place, go somewhere else. This place was dirty.

the hotel was absolutely disgusting. From the foul odor that lingered everywhere, to the dirty rooms and unsanitary conditions, it was one of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had.

Everything was dirty, the carpet in the hotel itself, the corridors, the rooms, the furniture in the rooms were dusty, the bathroom had crickets hoping on the floor, it was an overall horrible experience and a place I would not recommend. It’s needs new management and complete renovation

The place is discussing. Ripped furniture, ripped carpets, smell of cooking currry in the room hallways, no hangers in room, broken ironing board and cheap TV options.

It was so dirty that we did not stay the beds were terrible the place was disgusting. The bathtub you could tell if it was white or gray from the dirt on it and the smell was awful

Very loud all night! Not a classy place

First and foremost, this place is dirty and shabby! The carpet in the hall hadn’t even been vacuumed! There are scratches snd nicks in all the furniture as if the pieces had been there since the 1950s! The Dept of Health should inspect this place for serious violations!

Terrible terrible I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Not even my worst enemy. It was disgusting and dirty. When asked for another room. They shrugged their shoulders and said nothing.
