All in all, it was a pretty pleasant stay.
Pros:

The location was excellent, along with the convenience of the coffee shop. The coffee bar's staff was super courteous and professional. The food and coffee were amazing. Overall, the room was very nice, clean, and spacious. The fridge and microwave were super nice and clean too. In addition, the housekeeping staff was very attentive and helpful.

Cons:

Some sidewalks were dirty and the trash cans were not emptied out as frequently as they should have been, and therefore, some trash cans were overflowing. Also, it would have been nice to have at least two wastebins in the room instead of just one.

High expectations not entirely met.
Pros:

At first we noticed no hairdryer & no iron. Remedied later very quickly! Staff personable. Enjoyed the EB bar! Good attempt to upscale the whole motel!

Cons:

Not always had a person at the front & had to go to the EB bar to request someone to step up.
Not organized— forgot they turned down a request to clean my room and offered to do the next day—- they did not do it!!!!! No new towels or new sheets! Very bad way to run the place—- write it down! Then do it!!! Happened day before checked out— very bad ending to the stay.

I am very happy with having chosen to stay here. Everything I was looking for - and more!
Pros:

The room was lovely. The cafe and gathering space off the main lobby were comfortable and pleasant to be in.

Cons:

In the parking lot and sidewalk at the entry to my room there was some garbage and cigarette butts.

It's complicated.
Pros:

Staff v. pleasant; rooms v. nice, location excellent. The Espresso Bar had excellent coffee drinks & v. good bagelwiches.

Cons:

Our room was 50 F by the thermostat when we checked in; it took several hours to warm up.
I have stayed in this motel previously, and think it a good value. However, on weekends, esp Saturday night, the parking lot is full of loud, often obscene, drinking party people. And if you're on the bottom floor, you can hear people above you stomping around til the wee hours.

Cons:

My TV didn't work. Called the front desk and was asked to wait 25 mins until manager came in. After 30+ mins, I called front desk and told them I was going out for the evening and the front desk person asked if someone could look at the TV while I was out. I agreed. When I returned after 9 PM, no one had fixed the TV.

also, no in room coffee.

Overall it was wonderful.
Pros:

My friends and I were extremely pleased with our stay at Taos Valley Lodge. It couldn't have been better. We will recommend it to others and come back.

Cons:

My friend's coffee at Peet's was cold and she had to wait a long time. My white chocolate mocoa coffee was not as good as I had hoped and a little cold.
