We stayed one night at taos valley lodge, the rooms were nice and very clean, beds were very comfortable, good atmosphere, staff were great, very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
Location. Refurbished room was okay.
Could be cleaner.
Staff and food
Room smelled so bad it woke me up. No full bar, dirty
Room smell of pets otherwise it was comfortable
Bed and pillows, awesome.
Location, great.
Pool and hot tub closed in High Summer... "Planning an outdoor pool...
Staff helpful, (but basic signage (Front Desk) make looking for staff a game hunt)
It has potential, but I would watch the reviews before a trip
It was a solid OK. Feels like it could be great
Room had some great luxury items (bathroom vanity mirror, fixtures, automatic fireplace)... But also exposed cables for wall mount TV, multiple remotes, no instructions and tv volume would go up, not down. Missing bathroom toiletries (2 baths, shower, one tiny shampoo). No tub stopper for bath. Odd mix of new and funky old stuff.
Art seemed oddly selected and placed, and art mounts with no art.
Maybe they are getting things done, but it was a nice big weird room.
Bar/Coffee/food/vending was not very active, or totally not functional
Bathroom larger
The front desk staff was friendly
My room did not feel like it was fit for guests. It seemed like a storage room. There was a table blocking a door that connected to another room, the lights were not adequate; one floor lamp in the room and bathroom lighting. The smell was musty.
I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of my stay here. The bed was comfortable. The room was spotless and had all the amenities you could need. I would highly recommend this motel.
I had a large, very spartan room. Only one small lamp next to the bed. Bench, but no chair. There was a very large desk, but no lamp nor outlet. Walking is done on the exterior, so you cannot open the curtains for more light. Website showed better-furnished rooms, so either old photos or I got unlucky. Was a short visit so not worth the effort to change rooms.
Clean, and electronics were a plus, such as the wireless charging port.
Hotel was recently renovated. The room was clean with new bed that was comfortable. Towels were nice. Had plenty of seating places in the room. Shower is a tub/shower and the shower curtain did not keep water from getting to the floor in the bathroom. Room was basic but that's ok for this trip. The room refrigerator was nice and had a small freezer that helped for our drive home because I take a med that I need to keep cold. So I was able to refreeze the ice packs!
As noted, the hotel was recently renovated. The vending machines in the lobby were all empty. The booking said that breakfast was included but it was not. The coffee is Pete's Coffee, which is good but that was also required purchase. There is a single serve cup coffee in the room
Staff and location.
The photos shown in the website are for the deluxe rooms. The standard rooms are not shown for on purpose. They are old and gross.
I stayed at this hotel 4 nights while motorcycling around the nearby mountains and overall, I was comfortable with all the room facilities worked well. I did have an issue with the in-room coffee maker (it just gurgled without putting out any coffee). I told the front desk on the way out that day and I had a new coffee maker when I returned. The location was good with several food options available including an Indian restaurant on site. I tried it the first night and the food was very good with nice fresh made Naan. The same restaurant becomes a coffeeshop/breakfast venue in the morning, and the food was very good but maybe a bit pricey.
I would have liked a breakfast included in the room cost (I did get a 10% discount for breakfast even though you must remember to tell them you are a guest - they do not ask) which I forgot to do. I ended up taking a short walk to a nearby grocery store and picked up a few item I could have for breakfast (they have a refrigerator and microwave in room).
