We stayed overnight and the rooms were not that clean. We feedback to the staff on the cleanliness issue and when returned later for a 2 night stay, the conditions of the rooms were much better. Overall a good stay. The staff were great and helpful. They quickly made improvements which we appreciated.

The service, staff and food quality was amazing. The hotel was spotless throughout. Nothing was too much bother and all in a very central location. Would definitely stay here again.
The room were very clean and the bed, put and linens super comfortable. Staffs were ever ready to provide services and always with a smile. We felt so at home here. Dana and her team are very efficient. Breakfast at the top floor with views have adequate spread to satisfy most palates.
The staff are incredible! They will bend over backwards to assist you. We are so grateful for their kindness! Great and central location. Night markets are in walkable distance. The only minor issue is the pool is actually a spa. Otherwise would recommend!

Absolutley love this place!! So beautiful, awesome rooftop bar, and best of all, the staff is sooo nice!!! Love it so much we are staying again in a few days when we end our trip in Hanoi!!! 😊
This place is so central. It's in the heart of everything and close to many attractions from walking distance. The hotel is clean and the staff is truly what made my stay even more special. Anna is incredibly helpful and was the resident 'concierge'. She made my Mum and my stay hard to say goodbye but if I ever returned to Hanoi, I will make sure to book Lucien (previously San Grand). Julia who is a Trainee is also amazing. The Bell boys are courteous and friendly. Always greeting with a smile.
Stay was good shower did not work very well I think broken but the hotel staff very pleasant and helpful

Food is fantastic.
Nice view from the breakfast and sky bar. The bed and beddings are excellent. The service is good. Here come the negatives.
The room is a lot smaller than advertised. Can’t barely do personal things in front of the mirror/sink without the door keeps jamming at your back. There is no sitting area as advertised either.
The bathtub is nice however there is no shower head on the wall. Basically you have to stand inside the bathtub, one hand holding the shower head and one hand doing your scrubbing - not comfortable at all.

The San Grand Hotel is located in a perfect location in the Old Quarter, close to dining, shopping, bars and tons of street food! The hotel is very welcoming and a quiet oasis after the busy streets of Hanoi. The staff are extremely helpful and a special shout-out to Ruby and her team for being so kind and helpful with everything from booking our HaLong Bay trip, airport taxi, visas and actually walking to show us the nearest atm machine:) The hotel has a fabulous buffet breakfast along with an afternoon tea all included in your room rate. The rooftop bar is a great place to unwind during happy hour to take in the beautiful view over the lake. We had a balcony room, which offered a great view while taking in the sights and sounds of the city. It was a beautiful room, but didn’t have a shower, only a bathtub. All other room types had a shower though:) We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again! Thanks everyone!!
Great hotel at a great location. Probably one of the best staff/hospitality I experienced in Vietnam. Every staff member was extremely helpful. Shout out to Susan for all the recommendations she provided us during our stay.
