Close, convenient and easy to travel to and from.
Had to wait for room to be cleaned. Had to report it twice.
On July 25, 2026, we arrived at this hotel around 10:00 PM after a very long and exhausting day. Unfortunately, our check-in experience was extremely disappointing.
At the front desk, there was an older gentleman who appeared to be having a personal phone conversation. He asked us to wait. We understood that unexpected situations can happen, so we waited patiently. However, we ended up waiting for approximately 40 minutes while he continued his personal conversation.
When we tried several times to politely approach him and explain that we were tired and simply wanted to check in, he dismissed us and waved us away as if we were bothering him. His attitude was extremely disrespectful and showed a complete lack of customer service.
I was very disappointed by the way we were treated. Guests come to a hotel expecting to be welcomed and treated with basic respect, especially when they are paying customers. Unfortunately, the behavior of the front desk employee made us feel ignored and unvalued.
This was a very unpleasant first impression of the hotel, and I hope management addresses this type of behavior to ensure future guests are treated with the respect they deserve.
Great location! 5 minute walk to Golden One Center, 5 minute walk to Old Sacramento. Many restaurants within a few minutes walking. Staff was very friendly and helpful, very clean room, good atmosphere and value. Stay here on many visits and will stay again.
We absolutely love staying at this hotel. Everything was very clean and the staff was friendly. Our favorite part was the tunnel to old town Sacramento super convenient and we were able to walk back-and-forth to the shops. We would stay here again for sure. Highly recommend for families. We also walked around and did some shopping in the morning. They gave us a late checkout with a membership, which they needed our email address. Great spot to stop for a night on our road trip!
Location is everything and this hotel was definitely the right choice. I just wish the showerhead had more pressure behind it.
Always my go to hotel in Sacramento. Can’t beat location and top it it off with staff who care, yes I am coming back. Always relaxed atmosphere and people who care about your stay

Staff was very nice and helpful. Location great! Easy walk from the train station and Old Sacramento.
Bed was a little soft for our taste. Air conditioner was making a lot of noise, but staff showed up almost immediately, agreed it was too loud, and moved us to another room without needing to return to the check-in desk. Didn’t have breakfast there because the cost was too high.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Sacramento —Arena while attending the WSB conference this past weekend. From the very first hello at check-in until thanks for choosing us at checkout I am pleased. The staff was very nice and accommodating! My room was clean , stocked with what I needed and if I had questions they were quickly answered. What I loved most, was the access to everything I needed within walking distance. From the Golden1 Center, where the conference was , to Old Sacramento for sight seeing it was very very nice! I definitely recommend 100%
