Cons:

A sleepless night. Was kept awake by very loud noise from nightclubs across the road. Would have appreciated if windows would have had superior insulation.

Hotel fantastic
Pros:

Close to the centre of Cardiff and a short walk to the train station , fantastic breakfast

Cons:

Didn’t like the bar staff in the browns restaurant, rude and blatantly overlooked me when tried getting a drink

It’s central Cardiff location

Cons:

A little bit expensive for one nights stay and missing the old guest book of information.. it’s difficult to find out everything on a mobile phone if you are not very tech savvy..

Central location but could do with updating.
Pros:

The hotel's location is a few minutes stroll from Cardiff Central station, and right in the heart of the city with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were very helpful and friendly also.

Cons:

The air conditioning in our room was defective making it non-existent. As it was a hot weekend we needed it. Plus the heated towel rail in the bathroom was on full blast and couldn't be turned off.
The shower was pretty awful too. The water pressure was adequate at best, and the short shower hose (only a meter or so long) made it more difficult to use.

Excellent spot for exploring the city
Pros:

Location is excellent!

Cons:

As an individual who can’t use lifts I needed to use the stairs. They were difficult to find and were quite scary and dirty when we did find them, it was a real opposite to how the rest of the hotel felt.

excellent location - poor wifi
Pros:

excellent location
the staff was extremely kind and professional, offered free upgrade as bonvoy member

Cons:

did not like the policy about paying for parking for hotel guests, this does not make any sense
wifi was terrible, very low speeds, kept dropping, no option for high-speed internet for bonvoy members
