I don’t know if it was due to the Coronavirus, but there weren’t many people here and we had it all to ourselves. Everything about this place was really nice. The restaurant had really good food and amazing views. It was pretty windy so we weren’t able to enjoy the free water activities as much as we would like, but the staff were very helpful and wanted to make sure we had a good time. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Great facilities water park is fantastic, even our 3 and 4 year olds loved it. Staff were amazing.
Properly is unique and well maintained...good service.
We had a wonderful vacation overall!
Overall, pretty good. Very friendly staff but food is so-so. We really enjoyed the inflatable obstacle course.
The property is in a nice location on a cliff overlooking the beach and bay.
There way almost no water pressure in the shower and the temperature was luke warm. The food quality was extremely poor. I ordered a veggie lover pizza that had almost no veggies, was sweet as a dessert and inedible. It seemed that almost everything came from a can on the breakfast buffet. The coffee tasted like instant.
The blinds in our room were broken so light poured in all night. I booked a queen and was taken to a room with two twins, which I had to correct.
Overall a very disappointing experience
We are a group of 11 mainly pensioners on holiday at Andana Resort and everyone enjoyed their stay. The resort itself is how it’s been described on the website, clean, with lovely views, friendly and helpful staff. We all wish we have booked a few more days. Thank you Andana for a wonderful experience, we hope we can come back again soon.
I like the views and the amenities. also the staff and service were excellent.
We spent the weekend there - Saturday and Sunday - and it was very relaxing. The place was clean and was very cozy - customer service overall was pretty good, and the pool was especially nice. Food choices however was very limited. Food quality was so so. Not bad, but not great either. Thankfully we brought our car from Iloilo (through RoRo) and found a nice cozy restaurant not too far from the hotel called Olivia's (plug) where we had lunch that Sunday while "exploring" the island - (4 lane cemented highway most of the way from Jordan port - quite impressive!) Andana should hire Olivia's chef or get ideas from them, seriously Olivia's was that good :).
But to the resort's restaurant's credit: One previous reviewer said the restaurant didn't have bacon for breakfast :) . Well, management must have seen that review because there was an abundance of greasy bacon when we where there.
Overall the resort was nice - they also had an acoustic band that played in the bar area Saturday evening. Not great but was worth having a few beers over (free tip for whoever manages the bar area: it would help if you at least served peanuts or something - customers generally drink more beer (so you sell more) when eating salty stuff like peanuts). Upon checkout, we learned the resort was going to be closed for renovation the month of August (2019). Hopefully, they'll reopen with a revised menu and rethink their food options. Overall I'd give the resort about two and half stars.
I like the overall look of the property. It looks like it was well taken care of. I like our room, it’s clean and spacious although we were a bit cramped when an extra bed was added. The staff are very accommodating. I like the pool! Too bad it was raining during our stay so we didn’t get to try the water park. I also like the breakfast buffet although they could’ve added more variety of food.
Pros: They have bad wifi signal. You can’t also use your own data because the signal is really bad in that area. Since it is a private resort and a bit secluded from the rest you have no choice but to eat in their restaurant. The downside is they have a few offered food in their menu. And some of them were not available during our stay. Their food was also a bit pricey and it would have been okay if the food was exceptionally delicious, but it wasn’t :(. Plus the serving is too small, they’re not worth the price. One menu that we can’t forget is the Buttermilk Fried Chicken with rice and veggie on the side - when we asked the waiter how many pieces are there he said “it’s good for 2 to 3 persons”. Alas, when our order came in, it was a small fried chicken, thigh part with rice and maybe 6 pcs of string beans. Yeah, its like one pc chicken joy in thigh part and it’s for Php 380 (couldnt remember the exact price). That’s the most expensive 1 pc chicken meal we’ve ever had!
Staff are friendly, room is nice. Great pool and quiet place.
We waited for 30-40 minutes to be checked in to our room. I paid for an extra person and the room has not been set up for 3 people. We waited for another 3 hrs for the extra mattress. No extra towel for the 3rd person too we had to keep on calling the reception. Took us 2 hours to get the 3rd wifi access which I didn't use too because connection was terrible, I ended up using my phone data. We also waited too long for dinner to be served. I'm a frequent traveler within the country and outside too, but I feel the place is over priced for what they offer, both food and room. I will not recommend this place to anyone.
Need to improve the restaurant menu and services..
My family booked 3 rooms with pool access for a weekend trip and to be honest, we expected much of this resort since their rates are high. Don't get me wrong, the place looks really good probably a very insta-worthy resort. However, who cares if it looks good if they have poor management which led to a very unpleasant stay. We had to wait 2-3 hours past check-in time because the rooms are not yet ready. Their excuse is that they had a number of guest stayed the day before who checked out late and they were under staffed as well. So much for relaxing and relieving stress. After checking in, we went for a swim and right after swimming, we decided to eat snacks at their restaurant. It was about 4pm and to our surprise, the resto was closed and we weren't allowed to order food since their kitchen is already prepping for the dinner buffet. I mean, what will the guests do then? Wait for dinner time in order to eat? They didn't even mention all of this upon checking in.
Another thing is their breakfast buffet. For a resort to charge that amount for a night and serve so-so dishes is so disappointing. No bacon, sausage in sight. Not exaggerating but I'd rather go for other budget hotel's plated meal than what they offered. Felt sorry for the other foreign guests.
To summarize it all, I think their price is way too much and it was totally not worth the money. They really need to work on handling their bookings and might as well add more staff to better get a hold of their operation.
Enjoyed our stay.
Amazing staff
The staff at the reception area were very welcoming. The management also went out of their way to meet our needs including transportation to and from the wharf. Our stay was very memorable. We enjoyed our suite, the pool and the beach. The buffet breakfast was also hearty. We will definitely be back!
Didn’t like the food, it’s a bit pricey and not that good. Though the breakfast buffet is quite ok, at least.
Pool and view
Place was beautiful however amenities and staff were very poor. Staff lacked hospitality training. They seemed sad and not very accomodating. Food was not very exciting. Mangoes were over riped and cut into very small pieces. Pool was okay, quite big. Rooms were alright, however had to asked for hand towels as there were non in the room. Aircon was very good though. Overall not that impressed.
We liked the place, its comfy and nice set up..:)
The place itself is where you want to relax and chill, amazing! The staff needs to be trained more,no amnities yet,the foods are terrible and very expensive,I guess because it's a newly opened place, housekeeping is nowhere to be found when you need something, front desks are not vey organize and should learned how to wlcome the guests properly, some are rude, but it was a very nice place for families and friends to go to....
