Excellent customer service!
Pros:

We had a wonderful first stay at the Crowne Plaza and will definitely return. Cameron assisted us from check-in through checkout and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. She gave us tips on what/when to visit, transportation options we weren't aware of, and she did this all with such a pleasant attitude and we could tell she truly values the customers!

Guest Property Taken From Hotel Room
Pros:

I have never regretted staying in a hotel as much as I regret staying in Crowne Plaza. In short: hotel staff took an item of ours from our hotel room, and did not return the item or otherwise remedy their error in any way (and instead, they were dismissive, unresponsive, unhelpful, and/or rude - details below).

As background: I stayed at Crowne Plaza Seattle (Room #2265) from 9/27 to 10/4/25 while on vacation with my young son. I was charged on 9/30 for $103.36 and I have another charge from Crowne Plaza on my bank statement on 10/4 in the amount of $2,709.79, so in total I paid almost $3K ($2,813.15) for my stay, just to have something irreplaceable taken from us.

Details: On 10/2, my son and I left our hotel room for the day, and my son left his baby blanket in the hotel room on the bed. When we returned, our room had been cleaned/bed had been made and the baby blanket was gone. We searched the entire room and tore off the bed sheets and still could not locate it. Unless the hotel gave access to my room to non-staff, it was 100% hotel staff who (whether intentionally or not) took my son's blanket from my hotel room.

I know some might think "it’s just a blanket" but I really cannot underscore the sentimental value of that blanket, which was passed down by family and which my son slept with every night since a baby and which provides him comfort. It is the only piece of personal property that my son is genuinely attached to. Needless to say, he and my wider family have been very upset since it has been taken, and my son has been having a hard time sleeping without it. And, in any case, no matter what the piece of personal property is, it is absolutely unacceptable for hotel staff to take guests' property of any kind from guests' hotel rooms.

To make matters worse, the hotel's response was disrespectful: they did not care, were dismissive, unresponsive, unhelpful, and/or rude. I called the front desk the day it was taken (10/2) and the receptionist said she could not help me and directed me to housekeeping (206-676-3908). Housekeeping did not answer the phone, so I left a message. The next day, housekeeping did not return my call. Someone by the name Agnesa had texted me from an unknown number (541-203-3504) about my stay on 9/27, so I decided to also text that phone number back on 10/3 and seek assistance. On 10/4, at checkout, I went to the front desk to try to speak with someone in person but no one was there. Since that day, I've continuously reached out, explained over and over the issue, and sought to get the blanket returned. I texted that number several times (speaking with Andrea, Eric, Brian), called housekeeping again, called the hotel front desk (206-464-1980), called "accounts receivable" (206-676-3908) (speaking with Espinita, I believe was her name), called the parent company IHG on their customer service line (877-424-2449), and emailed Director of Operations Shawn Schulze (sschulze@cphotelseattle.com) who told me on the phone in October that he'd contact me in November (which he *never* did and then he was rude to me after that). I have record of all these texts, calls, and emails.

Until this month (2 mos. after it was stolen), I had so much patience and hope. Now the only thing I feel is anger and confusion about how a big-name hotel that makes so much money off guests can take something so important to us and not face any kind of accountability. Whether intentional or not, the hotel caused us harm and refuses to remedy that in any way. One small voice (mine) may not make a difference (and indeed, has not made a difference because I spoke to multiple staff and none seemed to care - see above). But spreading this knowledge and warning others about this may make a difference. I’m also looking into legal options to see if there is any kind of remedy that I can get here--although what I really want is just to get my son's blanket back for him. (I honestly just wish that I never stayed at this hotel in the first place so that my son still had his baby blanket today and I didn't have to deal with all this aftermath, calling various times and being dismissed by the hotel and my son all-the-while still sad and still asking me constantly for updates about his blanket.)

Seahawks Overnight Stay
Pros:

Overnight stay in Seattle post Seahawks game. Newly renovated, centrally located, clean and modern (loved innovative elevator operating system) accommodation makes for a great option in Seattle. Found service, including valet, front desk, and food service to be excellent. We were provided with a room on one of the higher floors with an outstanding view. About a 20 minute walk to the stadium, with many pre/post game bars (Elysian Fields is a favourite) along the way. Overall a great stay in Seattle.

Bravo to the entire team!! Together Everyone Achieves More!
Pros:

Pleasantly located off I-5 in the heart of Seattle! Modern and Chic new design and concept inside. From the valet, to the restaurant busser I was impressed when I first walked in until I departed. The front desk staff had an easy check in as well as it appeared to be management up front. Making sure all details and my stay was convenient, price point on scale, and I had what I needed. I dined in the restaurant and the staff was friendly, outgoing and quick which is important to me. I don't want to wait when I am hungry. Brooke particularly was super friendly and engaging. The other guest including 3 from LA and two from Iceland when friendly and engaging. I like fancy on a budget. This hotel seems to offer everything I need without breaking the bank!! Cudos to Shawn, and Brian for their 5 star service, friendly smile, and hospitality. Clearly they have an amazing team! This hotel is sure to sell out during cruise season and FIFA. Book now!!

Good Stay, Would Revisit
Pros:

Pros
- Nice big room with nice view
- Great daily housekeeping
- Nice bar with great bartender Sci

Cons
- No room service
- At top of a hill and everywhere you want to go is downhill
- Expensive parking, go one block down to Olympic parking to save $20+ per night
- Told by Eric no problem to get late checkout on night before we left at front desk then next morning it’s a different story when we called to confirm, very inconvenient as plans had been made around this

Overall I would stay again.

Nice Hotel with Great Staff
Pros:

Good location and staff more than willing to help in anyway they can.
We had a really nice room overlooking the city.
Food in the hotel was good although found breakfast a little expensive for what was on offer.
All in all a great trip and will be back.

A very nice property. Near to public transport and several tourist attractions. The hotel escalator was a bit complicated for me.

Good central location in Seattle
Pros:

We stayed here after getting a great deal through an IHG flash sale. Location was prime for anything downtown, hotel was modern and had an upscale vibe. Room was nice and quiet, bed was comfy, and hotel restaurant had good food and great cheesecake. All staff we encountered were very friendly. We would recommend!

Disappointing experience at the Crowne Plaza-Seattle
Pros:

I have been holding off on this review in order to give the Crowne Plaza Seattle time to do the the right thing, but so far that has not happened. Last month we took an Amtrak train trip from Chicago to Seattle and spent one night at this hotel. We booked our room with a PREPAID hot breakfast, but when we arrived at the dining room the next morning we were advised that they were not able to serve a hot breakfast because there was a "gas problem" in the kitchen, and that the only option was the cold yogurt bowl which cost $57.29 for two including coffee. When we checked out of the hotel an hour later we discussed this with the front desk and while they knew about the issue and they apologized for the problem, they were not able to immediately credit our hotel bill because it had been paid through the tour operator we used to book this trip. We accepted that logic assuming that it would get resolved within a couple of days, and the front desk arranged for a "free" Uber ride back to the Amtrak station (we still tipped the driver). Now, a month later, the tour operator has advised us that the hotel claims that there was NO PROBLEM with their kitchen that morning and that they did serve a hot breakfast. I have a copy of the bill, which I signed with the notation that there was "NO HOT FOOD." Hopefully the hotel will eventually make this right. Hate to think this is typical of all IHG properties.

Pros:

The Crowne Plasa is right downtown in the middle of many other hotels and businesses. They are located right off the Highway 5 exit on 6th St. Many uber drivers are available in downtown Seattle and when you call for a ride they show up in 1 minute. The Crowne has a great breakfast buffet, along with regular breakfast and dinner dining. It was easy to use their room key automatic elevator that takes you up to your floor. We stayed on floor 32 and had a beautiful view of Seattle. I will stay there again when we return to Seattle.
