My partner and I traveled from Chicago to New Orleans and stayed at Le Méridien, and while the city itself was amazing, it was truly the staff who made our trip memorable.
From the moment we walked through the doors, Joy made us feel welcomed like old friends arriving for a visit rather than guests checking into a hotel. Her warm personality immediately set the tone for our stay.
The hospitality didn’t stop there. Branden at the bar was attentive, friendly, and clearly talented at his craft. Every drink he made was excellent so good that we may or may not have found ourselves returning “just for one more.”
When it was time to check out, Drea at the front desk provided outstanding customer service and shared some fantastic recommendations that helped us make the most of our final hours in New Orleans.
What impressed us most was the consistency of the service. Every employee we encountered greeted us when we entered the building, asked if we needed anything, and genuinely seemed happy to help. On one particularly hot day, we were even offered cold bottles of water simply because we looked like we’d been battling the Louisiana heat. Those small gestures may seem minor, but they’re exactly the kind of details that turn a good trip into a great one.
The staff also provided excellent recommendations for restaurants, bars, and local spots that helped us experience New Orleans like visitors who had insider tips rather than tourists guessing from Google reviews.
In hospitality, people often remember the room, the location, or the amenities. For us, we’ll remember the people. The team at Le Méridien delivered impeccable customer service from start to finish, and that’s something you can’t put a price on.
Thank you for making two Chicago travelers feel right at home in New Orleans. We’ll definitely be back and hopefully Branden will still be behind the bar making those dangerous yet excellent drinks!

I did get locked out the pool when I went to the bath room, but the pool did close during that time. 😬😬

Parking was a mess. Small valet lot backs up on main road and valet staff was rude
Location was perfect & the bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom could have been a little more cleaner, and there was an ongoing smell that lingered in the hotel .
Richard and all the staff was fantastic
Everything was good. The staff is very friendly. Staff is very helpful.
When we arrived. There was only 2-3 elevators working. By the time we left. There was only 1 elevator working and we had to go down 17 flights of stairs. And make sure you take pictures of the fridge. There was an item missing and they wanted to charge me for it but I had told them I didn’t touch anything from the fridge and I had the picture to prove it.
