Everything exceeded my expectations
The location was central to the events I attended. I felt secure and comfortable. The manager that checked us in was warm and friendly. I loved the decor of the facility. I tend to be picky about where I stay and my room was too my satisfaction.
The Valet driver could have been a little more attentive and hospitable or maybe work in another area where customer service is not required.
We arrived early, but the hotel stored our things while we explored the city and ate brunch. My room was located on the 17th floor. I had a view of the city, so the lights at night were amazing. It was a two-queen bed with a lounge chair. The mirror on the door was SUPERB! The shuttle was a plus. It takes you anywhere in a 3-mile radius. The staff was helpful with making recommendations for things around the area. I also enjoyed the store located at the hotel which sold food, coffee. wine, and toiletries. The location was right next to the Galleria and shopping all was walking distance, but shuttle will take you. :). The Lyft rides were between 7-16 dollars and that was awesome. We can for the rodeo, to the location was on point. everything we did was in a 10-mile radius. Awesome!
There was no microwave in the room, but I noticed they were outside the door. I'm assuming this was in case we needed one. The bar could open up a little earlier. I was told 5 pm and this was on a Monday. I would make a recommendation for maybe 12 or 1pm. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Lounge and bar area
Booked and paid for a room with 2 queen beds but received a room with 2 full-size beds- not two queens. Room service didn’t come and when I requested additional towels, room service never came. So I had 4 towels that I needed to maw last for 3 days.
Location, and bed
Breakfast , cost, air-conditioning had issues, only free drinking water for 1 day, water pressure in washroom was very bad.
Alma has been such an amazing waitress she has taken care of us both days at the restaurant and she has been so helpful and has handled us with care.
Alma has been such a pleasure to have as my server in the restaurant I had her for the 2 days we stayed. She deserves an award and recognition.
We had a wonderful stay at Royal Sonesta in Houston. Mainly, the one person who made it special was Alma, who treated us as royalty at breakfast. She is beyond attentive and welcoming. Every morning, she treated us to delicious treats and ensured our stay in Houston was fun by recommending interesting sights.
The Royal Sonesta gives the Royal treatment! During our travels for a business conference, we were not only accommodated well, but the staff was kind, professional and attentive! Special thanks to Bree at the front desk for her cool, calm and collected demeanor. Despite hundreds trying to check-in, she remembered our names and showed us such kindness! Thank you Ms. Bree!
And to Ms. Alma in the restaurant, you truly embody the "soul" of great customer service! Thank you to you and all who worked tirelessly to keep us feed in between our long business meetings.

I had the breakfast at Royal Sonesta and the service was fantastic! Ama and Maria were our servers and they took great care of us. The food was really good. Make sure you order the pancakes and potatoes.
