We enjoyed our stay at Pur and one big reason is the concierge, Jacques Langlois. His daily help in planning our excursions was invaluable. He was very personable and engaging. Thank you, Jacques!
We recently visited Quebec City Canada and had a fantastic time!! The area is rich in history and has some amazing views! This time of year, we had a few rainy days and it was chilly. Take your walking shoes, long sleeves, and rain jacket!! Our trip to Montmorency Falls was well worth the bus ride. It is a beautiful site to see! And powerful to boot! We walked a lot and always felt safe. The hills and stairs will definitely give your calves a workout!!
We stayed at Hotel Pur! The accommodations were wonderful, the hotel staff very helpful and the bed was beyond comfortable!! A huge shout out to our jack of all trades and master of all concierge! M. Jacques! He was amazing, so personable, welcoming, and genuinely interested in helping us plan our day! Whether it be explaining what bus to take or where to get tickets or helping us decide what we wanted to do for the day as far as walking or riding somewhere. He was amazing! Very knowledgeable of the area and his English was fantastic! Thank you!
Would highly recommend visiting the city and experiencing the wonderful accommodations of Hotel Pur - it was a great choice for us!!!!

We reserved an accessible room. We got what they called accessible, but it was far from accessible. I had stressed at time of booking that due to severe mobility issues, we required a toilet with grab bars to help hoist one off the seat. There is one bar only, and it is behind the toilet. Picture yourself sitting on a toilet and trying to hoist yourself up using a bar that is behind you.
The toilet itself is far too low to the ground. That makes it even more difficult to stand up from it.
The bathtub walls are so high, that even a person without mobility issues would have difficulty climbing in. The bathtub surface is slippery like ice. No texture to keep it non slip.
The mattress top is only about 18 inches off the floor. That is extremely low for a bed. Again making it very difficult to arise if you have mobility issues.
The people working at this hotel are very friendly and try to be helpful, but most have trouble with English, and I have trouble with French.
There was a door hanger with one side asking for the room to be cleaned and the other side saying do not disturb. We put up the side asking for service. They skipped our room. Apparently the housekeeping staff see a sign and skip the room regardless of which side is up. Fortunately, they rectified this when we notified the front desk that our room was missed by housekeeping.
My wife and I navigated the hotel as best as possible, but will likely not return because of the accessibility issues. Otherwise, this is a very nice hotel.
My wife and I spent three days at the Hotel PUR in April of 2026 while on vacation visiting Quebec City. The hotel was very nice and the staff very welcoming. What made our stay especially enjoyable was the service provided Jacques, the concierge. Being new to the city, he provided suggestions on where to visit and how to get there and back. We had a great time!
Thank you.
Everyone on staff were so kind and accommodating. Of special note was M. Jacques, a concierge at Hotel PUR. Repeatedly, he went above and beyond my expectations when I requested his assistance over the three-day stay. I am so grateful and it made our stay in Quebec City an absolute joy!
