Would not book Holiday Inn again.
Pros:

The friendliness of the staff and the pool were the only two things that are salvageable from the hotel.

Cons:

Room balcony was inaccessible. Breakfast was not of good quality, and cleaning level of the whole hotel was not up to par. Additionally, the elevators were not working correctly.

Elevator Safety Concerns
Pros:

The location was good

Cons:

Elevators were not working appropriately.My sister was unable to leave the room in fear of having to stand for long periods of time waiting for the elevators. Her previous back injury just wouldn't allow the 10 to 15 min wait in a lobby full of people and no where to sit to rest.

Great location. Value for money as walking distance to town and Bourbon street. Not impacted by World cup as it wasn't one of the key venues.
