Kayenta Monument Valley Inn

We were not afforded a warm welcome when we arrived after our long drive. We were then told no WiFi. I think this should be advertised on line as we were told they had not had WiFi for three months. I feel I should be entitled to a part refund. We needed the WiFi to conduct some business and it was not possible.

There are very few options in Kayenta. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly but thats the best I can say about it. Upon checkin we were informed the wifi was down and there was no heat or AC. The price paid for services received was way too high. Overall disappointing and would not recommend.

The pictures provided online were most definitely inflated and do not depict the actual conditions of the rooms. The rooms were dated and had a foul odor. The shower barely worked, no mini fridge or microwave in the rooms, and was informed the WiFi was not working until after check in was completed. I presume these are the reasons why the Hampton Inn was booked and this facility had a lot of vacant rooms.

For $189 with tax- it was pricey!
And they did not tell me their Internet has been down for two months, until after I paid!

It was late and a random stop, the closest town was another 90 minutes away.

Expensive, couldn’t use the plug outlets in 1st room assigned - 2nd room had no a/c - 3rd room was just ok. Would not recommend this place nor would I stay here again.

The main thing I wasn’t happy about was the fact that rooms had no Wi-Fi however office did. It was a great inconvenience because I was traveling, just like most people in the hotel, there are long stretches of the drive with no service so I couldn’t book my next stay. I had to go elsewhere for Wi-Fi. The second item that I was not happy about was that the room had no fridge nor microwave. Those items would have been very useful. Room and building looked way better in their pictures probably because they haven’t updated their photos so in actuality, the hotel is a bit dated. Needs some updating. Other than that, bed was comfortable, parking was plentiful and there are gasoline stations and restaurants close by.

Don't expect internet...even though Expedia says the hotel has internet.

There was no internet…had been down for several days. No AC…couldn’t get the room cooler than 74 degrees and no window to open because it was the hallway. Staff never apologized or seemed to care. No offer to refund any of $200 paid for one night.

No security lights or camera in parking area of second building. Convertible top was cut open and luggage removed between carrying backpacks to room and returning for luggage. Clerk was quick to inform us all she could do is call police for us. No offer to id location, report to hotel management, offer even a toothbrush. Avoid this hotel and avoid this town.

Hotel staff told us no WiFi at check in for over one and half months. No apologies instead she said we didn’t check their website. When we checked the website, it said high speed WiFi. So it is showed with Expedia for WiFi service. Room was ok but no one came by to change towels or check tissue paper etc.
