Marriott charges a $30 resort fee while they are currently renovating some of their amenities as well as experiencing the demolition of a large office building next door. While it can't control the demolition noise (7am- 3pm), it could offer it's customer temporary relief by not charging a resort fee - especially for any room directly abutting the demo building.
Tha battery for the room safe had expired and maintenance replaced them within the hour.
The receptionist took out over £1500 on my credit card which I had already paid, it was rectified within hours when I went back to report it, but it meant I could not use it for 5 days while it cleared my account. I was only visiting for 3 days.
Camera pulita e accogliente
Scarsa insonorizzazione delle camere, ventola rumorosa. Personale purtroppo non all'altezza di un 4 stelle.
Staff and valet were very nice
Stayed at the Marriott Met Center while working at the Convention Center. Nice, comfortable, and quiet; it was my second stay here and would return. Close to many restaurants and things to see and do, it was right on that cusp of maybe further than I wanted to walk to the Convention Center, but not quite worth getting a car. Your mileage may vary, and that’s not a reflection on the Marriott.
Si
It is a normal high end hotel. Everything is well done and done well.
As with most high end hotels there are annoying things...no coffee in the room, no free wifi and everything is super expensive...like the $26, 9oz glass of wine at the bar...
I was in DC for business and had a prolonged stay at this property. It is a solid 3.5* with very nicely appointed rooms and central location next door to Metro Center Station and near some shopping and dinning. Not too far from the White House and other DC attractions. The room is clean and new. The lobby is not very welcoming and the front desk is understaffed. The only restaurant is called Spotted Zebra and it is very expensive. There is little you can buy with the mandatory "destination fee" That is becoming a Marriott trace and my point is that given the minimum price points, if you want to make acceptable use of the destination fee you always have to overspend. Breakfast is not full service and thus the prices are astronomical. There is a Starbucks which closes after lunch and you cannot spend your destination fee there. The gym is fairly decent and there is a small indoor swimming pool. The staff is nice and the location is fine although at times it feels deserted on 12th Street. It is a good option depending on the rates offered but certainly not top notch.
Such great service! Gentlemen all around! Took care of us, Jojo and Mark Webb. Made staying at the hotel that much better and couldn’t be more thankful.
The front desk staffing those in the restaurant was very pleasant. The gym was well equipped, and I lime the swimming pool. Very good location for those wanting to see the sights, to next to the major metro intersection.
I thought the $30 daily resort fee was unreasonable, although I used it for breakfast each day.which was fine, although I would not have chosen to eat there. However, the price point of the hotel was reasonable.
Rooms are dated but clean and equipped with the usual. There was quite a bit of corridor noise.
The use of small plastic bottles seems like a marriot trademark in the US. The gym had plastic cups wrapped in plastic, as did the ice machine.
I must have walked in and out of the hotel about 20 times over 5 days. Not once did the outside team acknowledge me, make eye contact, or say af word of welcome.
Overall, it was 2.5 or so out of 5.for me.
