Categories

Cleanliness
7.5
Mixed cleanliness: many guests praised clean rooms and public areas, but several reports of filthy hallways, dirty lobby bathrooms, ants in rooms, and debris (bandaids) in the pool lowered this score.
Service
9.5
Service generally strong: staff repeatedly described as friendly, helpful, and polite (check-in cookies appreciated); isolated incidents with a rude bartender were reported but staff positivity dominated reviews.
Location
9
Location frequently noted as convenient (near highway and college); quiet and suitable for short stays, though occasional highway rumble was mentioned.
Room Quality
8.5
Rooms are comfortable overall (beds consistently praised, TV easy to use, helpful magnified mirror), but issues like poor lighting, too few outlets, a visible shower patch job, peeling toilet, and occasional ants reduced the score slightly.
Amenities
8.5
Amenities are generally good: pleasant pool area with attractive lighting, exercise facility, free parking and warm cookies at check-in. Negatives include frequent empty ice machine, limited bar hours, no microwave/vending in some areas, and some pool cleanliness reports.
Value for Money
7.5
Mixed value: some guests found the hotel very affordable, but multiple complaints about being charged for breakfast that was expected/included, pet fees, and pricey restaurant items reduced perceived value.
Food and Beverage
7.5
Food reviews mixed: restaurant food was described as plentiful and delicious by some, while breakfast quality and unexpected charges drew complaints. Service at the bar was uneven (rude bartender, late opening hours reported).
Overall Experience
10
Overall experience was very positive for many guests: clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff, enjoyable pool/restaurant for some — several guests said they'd stay again, making the general impression strongly favorable despite some recurring operational issues.

Sweet spot to stay while in Chico
Pros:

Friendly helpful staff. Ordered an amazing breakfast from the restaurant downstairs. Huge portions and so tasty.

Cons:

My only concern is that we had a ADA room that was not on the ground level floor but that was my mistake for not asking for a ground level ADA room.

Eh
Pros:

Na

Cons:

No continental breakfast. I shouldn’t have to pay $20 for my 6 year old daughter to eat a pancake. The snack bar was outrageously expensive, so was the restaurant, and the food wasn’t great. If I’m paying close to $400 just to sleep for two nights, I expect more
